Speedy deletion declined: Himachali Cinema

Hello KAP03. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Himachali Cinema, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: ‘’’Wrong criterion and article has already been the subject of a deletion discussion’’’ Thank you. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 01:11, 12 June 2017 (UTC)

NPP

Hi KAP03. We appreciate your enthusiasm, but I really think you ought to stop patrolling new pages now until you have significantly more experience. The many messages on your talk page show that your accuracy is not sufficient for this task. Perhaps you would like to patrol for vandalism instead. Check it out at WP:CVU. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask me on my talk page. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 01:16, 12 June 2017 (UTC)

The article Goldco Precious Metals has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Promotional article created by a sockpuppet farm. See Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Drabsi Jimmy.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. —Guanaco 13:24, 15 June 2017 (UTC)

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Goldco Precious Metals, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may be soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. —Guanaco 13:27, 15 June 2017 (UTC)

Nomination of Goldco Precious Metals for deletion

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Goldco Precious Metals is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Goldco Precious Metals (2nd nomination) until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. —Guanaco 20:53, 15 June 2017 (UTC)

NPP warning

Caution Hi KAP03. Please stop patrolling articles now - your patrolling is disruptive. This is the final request - if you continue to patrol pages you may be blocked without further warning. Flip (app) is software, so it is ineligible under A7. Draft:Outdoor ministry had a lot of links that were questionable, but they were easily removed and the core of the prose was not spam, and since it is a broad concept rather than a specific group, it doesn't fit clearly into any of the other CSD criteria. As has been suggested before here, you need more experience in other areas of Wikipedia before you work with new pages. If you have any questions, ask me on my talk page. Can you let me know what is the potential benefit of this redirect. It was one of many names editors thought might be used for a new essay. The current name I chosen is simpler. As far as I can tell the redirect does not have potential for use with a future discussion. I don't understand the purpose of creating redirects that don't seem to be of value. Replaceable fair use File:G10 material picture.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:G10 material picture.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Codename Lisa (talk) 12:41, 26 August 2017 (UTC)

Undoing of my edits of the Hurricane Maria article

Hi. I don't understand the wholesale reversal of my very recent edits of the Hurricane Maria article. I believe my verb tense correction is correct. The shortening of the naming of the Smith Act was done to save space, the article already being over 100K in size and the text of that paragraph verbose. My readding of 'respectively' is debatable, but just an editorial difference between editors. Reversing someone's edit involving wording is certainly allowed short of the three revert rule. I admit I mistyped it. I don't find my edits "unconstructive", and I don't feel I need to review Wikipedia's rules. Sorry, but can you undo your action, and let the pending changes process proceed? Or is there something else I need to consider? Thanks for your consideration. 132.198.151.86 (talk) 20:19, 30 September 2017 (UTC)

Love Don't Live Here Anymore

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Love_Don%27t_Live_Here_Anymore

The Wiki entry for Love Don't Live Here Anymore states that it "incorporated the use of the Electronic LinnDrum machine" - except the LinnDrumm didn't exist, and wouldn't exist for several more years. The electronic drum used in the song is the Pollard "Syndrum" (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pollard_Syndrum), which was the first synth-based drum system used in popular music. The music video for the song (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V5gFAiPJhvI) shows the Syndrum "TwinDrum" system being played.

The LinnDrum is a drum machine that has buttons on the front for programming - it wasn't ever intended to be used in live situations, and, as can easily be confirmed, didn't exist in 1977 when the song was being recorded.

Thus, my edit to the article.

Dear KAP03, I refer to your messege regarding "Unconstructive editing on Senglea Athletic F.C.", which unfortunately can be considered a mistake. I have merely updated the squad list, which was outdated (from 2000s), respectfully there's nothing constructive or unconstructive about that. Admittedly, I have used sources which I forgot to reference and I would be very glad to list them, however the sources were also not fully updated - I was actually watching the match live so I could take note of the footballers playing. Kindly note that I shall be logging into my username, (which I should have done in the first place) and reupdate where necessary. The team of the article in question, is now playing in a top-tier league and has therefore gained some more notability, thus deserving an updated squad list. 88.203.8.125 (talk) 20:12, 21 October 2017 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of SP:NPF

A tag has been placed on SP:NPF requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section R2 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a redirect from the article namespace to a different namespace except the Category, Template, Wikipedia, Help, or Portal namespaces.

Can you help me thwart some nonsense, please?

I noticed that you've been working on anti-lock braking system fairly recently; particularly with an interest in merging the motorcycle version of into there. I agree about the merge. Should you and I devise a plan on how to mesh the stuff together?

I have another issue with that article. I just did a whole bunch of corrective work there, tidying the article up from several little miscellaneous errors (mine are the 4 most recent 103... IP edits), and then along comes some bozo who erases all my work and falsely accuses me of being a banned editor! Who does he think he is, reverting my edits and and assuming such a grave label onto me like that, likely without even checking my edit history for evidence? And if he reverted my edits there for that reason, then why hadn't he reverted all my other edits for the same reason?

I don't really want to try to reason with the guy; it seems like all I'd get is some kind of crap back from a rogue editor. And if I revert his reversion, won't he just fight with me until the cows come home? Probably so. I know I could report him, but it seems like IP editors always lose those battles in front of admins no matter what; they are not fair fights, unfortunately. Anyway, what do you think should be our next step? Do you think you could kindly throw a dog or two into the fight and restore my edits, and standing up strong against this vandal with me? Where do we go from here? 103.253.146.206 (talk) 08:30, 3 November 2017 (UTC)

KAP03, recently you reverted the edits of an IP editor in the articles on magnetism and electromagnetic field. Did you really mean to call his efforts vandalism? I'm not sure if your bot is doing as intended, but was it actually your intention to slap archive URLs on more than 60 live refs in Coconut? Bobby Beausoleil edits

Received your message. Was it an automated message? Being a knowledgeable art culture historian and a good writer, I am dismayed by the suggestion that I should go fool around in the sandbox. As I noted when making the new entries, much of the existing information is erroneous, laced with hysterical pop culture hyperbole. I am very familiar with Bobby Beausoleil’s history and his body of artworks and I am attempting to correct the record in relation to him.

I would like to have wiki’s support in these efforts. You will note that I have been using proper citations in correcting the information. Only modest changes were made, again, properly cited. For example, Beausoleil’s father was not a milkman and he did not go to a reform school.

Thank you for your attention to these concerns.

Again, I hope for your support.

The tool I use (IABot Management Interface) allows me to check all live (and possibly dead links) for archive URLs. -KAP03(Talk • Contributions • Email) 16:51, 22 December 2017 (UTC)

Dear KAP03, please let me do this task with my old-fashioned methods. I am busy with this page from the beginning of the year, adding a lot of sources and making additions or deletions when needed. No need of robots, except to detect vandalism, of course. Thank you for your understanding jfp 16:58, 22 December 2017 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jfponge (talkcontribs)

Please stop doing this to google book URLs. They are not primary references (they are photocopies of actual reference); so, they themselves are an archive of the original. Secondly, it is highly unlikely that they will every go away. AManWithNoPlan (talk) 18:53, 22 December 2017 (UTC)
The purpose of archiving a live page is to make sure you have a copy of how is is now. So, it is really a bad idea for the google books, since they should never change. AManWithNoPlan (talk) 18:56, 22 December 2017 (UTC)

Chess

What was the point of your edit of 23:51, 23 December 2017 to Chess? It appears that there was no visible modification, and no bad references were fixed, but the article is now 9,724 characters larger. Bruce leverett (talk) 03:20, 28 December 2017 (UTC)

  • OK, I see that my question was already asked and answered a month ago in your talk page.
  • Bleah. Many of these links are such that, if they went bad, the text that references them would also be bad. (For example, if www.olympic.org/world-chess-federation were to disappear, it would be wrong for the text to refer to an archive version.) So it doesn't make sense to provide archive links. I don't see how a bot can figure that out, though. Bruce leverett (talk) 03:29, 28 December 2017 (UTC)

SNS on nail polish page

It wasn't promotional, it is, in fact a new type/kind of nail polish/method of coloring them, if you reverted that, why not the Shellac as well? Seems inconsistent. 173.76.164.40 (talk) 00:43, 11 June 2018 (UTC)

That was exceedingly promotional. And I have reverted the "shellac" bit, which was promotional also. That said, two wrongs do not make a right, only three lefts do. 78.26 (spin me / revolutions) 02:52, 11 June 2018 (UTC)

Can you please tell me why it's promotional? It's a new kind of nail polish/treatment, I just wanted to add information about it, not to promote a company. So, you're saying if a certain company offers it, we can't talk about it because it's promotional, then you'd have to delete a page like on crispy creme donuts, but have you done that? 173.76.164.40 (talk) 04:14, 12 June 2018 (UTC)

Reincarnation

I do not know why it was 'unhelpful' of me to try to help others, by sharing personal TRANSPERSONAL experience. I know (a 'ken', inner knowing) that the soul, our individual souls and the ONE (ceator) Soul - have no ENDURING gender, race, religion embedded into it. This, I would have thought, would be VERY helpful to those thousands upon thousands of people (globally) who have gender difficulties, for feminists and those who feel marginalised due to their 'this life' gender experience, amongst other reasons.

I reiterate: the Soul has no gender, race, religion etc. This is very important, actually because, for those who know that reincarnation is 'real' (such as myself), one (that is the person 'now') has had many past lives, lived in many different bodies, cultures, countries, religions and of course periods in history. The crucial thing is: THIS life determines our next incarnation. How we live our life now, the nature of our soul (linked intimately with our thoughts, feelings, words and actions), whether we are of good character, or bad is judged accordingly (even if one does not-choose to- believe in a creator God, the 'laws of karma', for instance, in a non-monotheistic religion, overlap in their wisdom: this is surely a fact that if we lead a good, moral, upright life then we will be 'rewarded' in the life to come; it is simply 'cause and effect' (Judaism demands an ethical existence, by way of loving the creator God and keeping His Commandments; and does mention rewards and potential punishment, and that God defies the bounds of death...Christianity, of course echoes this theme. Buddhism also maintains that the work we do in this life will affect the rebirth). Yet, the soul 'our' soul, is continuous; life and death, and rebirth, is a journey 'of the soul' if you like...which takes on different bodies, as mentioned; ideally in order to learn, develop and grow (the 'reward' part). Regarding the 'punishment' part, I feel I know, through Judaism for instance, that God is essentially a loving God and encourages repentance for errors, wrongs(and, as Oscar Wilde said: to err is human). 'God allows for human steps..' So if, for instance, a person was wicked and maybe racially prejudiced to the point of murder - in the life to come / the 'judgement' that person could CHOOSE to reincarnate in the body of a person from that very race or culture that s/he vilified previously. By doing so, they would learn and become wiser, but also be able to demonstrate Goodness (love for the family in which they are born, for instance) to rectify their past wrongs, and will be judged accordingly. If they maintain goodness, their soul will reflect this, 'heal' (I believe that the mechanism for this is by way of....continuous judgements ... and if deserving, then 'stains' on the soul could be erased. As Judaism asserts (for instance, during the annual Yom Kippur; Day of Atonement and during the full 10 Days of Awe (from Jewish New Year to Yom Kippur) our judgement lies 'in the balance' and we ask God to be 'written into the Book of Life...for a Good Life...' and, of course this is a special and most holy day of repentance, when one examines their life over the past year, and asks, maybe begs God to forgive them (and of course, they must 'do the work' and demonstrate, by being a better person, in thoughts, words and deeds, that they indeed do wish to repent. And so it continues (how our character develops, consequences of every minute action, which includes thoughts: cause & effect, 'karma' and so on)
So BECAUSE THE SOUL IS GENDERLESS, HAS NO RACE, RELIGION etc...one can EXPERIENCE different cultures and outlooks and ways of life and learn great things. MS0017 (talk) 09:58, 6 August 2018 (UTC)6/8/18
Reincarnation is a SPIRITUAL mechanism, and as such, there are no 'academic' references, how can there be? When Moses received the Ten Commandments at Mount Sinai, did he ask if there were references to back up what he was receiving? No! It was Faith, based on trust. Qualitative rather than quantitative. So I beg to differ in your assessment of my contribution.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Wikipedia:NSPACE, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

Photography

I ask who are you to say that my edits in Photography are not constructive. The page is totally corrupted making a shameful mistake between Photography & Art and I am trying to avoid this confusion to naive people who tend to believe everything they read on the web. If you think my logical text was not constructive then do it better and fix that tremendous error in this page.

PHOTOGRAPHY IS ONE THING. ART IS ANOTHER. PHOTOGRAPHY MAY USE ART FORMS TO CREATE AN IMAGE (VISUAL ARTS). ART MAY USE PHOTOGRAPHY TO CREATE A PIECE OF ART. (VISUAL ARTS).

NOW IF THE PHOTOGRAPH DO NOT INVOLVE ANY KIND OF TECHNICAL OR INTELLECTUAL USE OF ART, IT'S (PHOTOGRAPHY) BECAUSE THE MEDIUM WAS PHOTOGRAPHY. SO PHOTOGRAPHY IS NOT ART. it's a science, a technique and a profession.

IT'S LOGICALLY SIMPLE.

International Franchise Association Speedy Delete

Hi, I saw your mark of the page I created for a speedy delete, and I wanted to ask about reconsidering that as I don't think the original criteria for deletion apply any longer. I'm new here, so trying to figure all this out. Anyway, the page was originally created/deleted 7 years ago, with notes that it wasn't well-sourced and concerns about whether the org was notable enough, so I sourced this page from reputable sources like ProPublica, CNBC, etc. This is a group that is suing states and cities over labor legislation and spending millions on lobbying lawmakers, so I do think they fit the guidelines on notability in the public's interest (I didn't want to put too much of that on the page because I wanted to be impartial). To request a reconsideration for a deleted page, Wikipedia directs you to contact the deleting author, but that account hasn't been active in a year or so so this was my next step.

Given the above, would you reconsider the deletion? I'd appreciate it.

Introduction into superheavy elements

Hi! I see you have moved Superheavy element/Short introduction from the article space to the template space. While this section is indeed transcluded into several other articles, please note that the existing policy explicitly transclusion from the article space. See Wikipedia:Transclusion#Pages with a common section:

When two pages need to discuss the same material in the same way, they can share a section. This involves creating a third page and transcluding that page onto both pages. This third page may be a page in its own right or a subpage of either of the other two, and if the first it may be placed in the same namespace as the other pages or in template namespace.

I have preferred to keep the repeated text in the article space because this introduction is not supplementary to encyclopedic content, like templates are; it is encyclopedic content, so it is logically stored in the same namespace as the rest of such content. Moving to the Template namespace may, I'm afraid, make some novice editors not want to mess with the "technical" part of Wikipedia, but this part should not look any more difficult than the rest of articles. So would you please move it back to the original location?--R8R (talk) 11:57, 28 March 2020 (UTC)
