Declined redirect request: Donald Trump moth → Neopalpa donaldtrumpi

Here's a few examples of Neopalpa donaldtrumpi, a newly named species of moth, being referred to as the Donald Trump moth:

Donald Trump Moth Namesake Has Tousled Mop of Blonde Hair[1]
Donald Trump moth with 'blonde hairdo' becomes internet sensation[2]
Donald Trump Moth: New Species Of Moth With Weird Hair Named After Trump[3]
New ‘Donald Trump Moth’ Has Golden Hair And Tiny Genitals[4]
Donald Trump Moth Discovered… On the Mexican Border[5]
Donald Trump Moth Inspired by Yellow Head, Increasing Conservation Awareness[6]
Donald Trump Moth | The Asian Age[7]
Donald Trump Moth | Deccan Chronicle[8]
Donald Trump Moth An Honor Turning Into Insult? Insect Named For Trump[9]
Donald Trump Moth: New Species Of Moth With Weird Hair Named After Trump[10]
Now There’s a Donald Trump Moth[11]

← Twins? →

It's looking likely that Donald Trump moth will become increasingly used as a synonym for Neopalpa donaldtrumpi as the moth becomes well known because of who it's named after and its very close resemblance to him. Undeclining the declined redirect request will be helpful to people who only know of Neopalpa donaldtrumpi as the Donald Trump moth, enabling instant navigation to the article for this important species of moth.

AFC/R declines

I've noticed a good number of outright bad declines at AFC/R. Examples:

All of these are at Wikipedia:Articles for creation/Redirects/2017-01. Without very good reason, declining such candidates is disruptive. Would you mind explaining carefully your very good reasons for declaring all of these bad redirects? Nyttend (talk) 14:08, 27 January 2017 (UTC)

They need to provide sources or I'll do a normal Google search to see if it's plausible search term. KGirlTrucker81 huh? what I've been doing 15:29, 27 January 2017 (UTC)
Let me be clear: you have been badly disrupting the AFC/R process (among other things, rejecting AFC/R requests for blatantly bad reasons is a good example of WP:BITE), and your response here makes it seem as if you don't understand or don't care. If I see additional disruption in this manner, you will be blocked. Nyttend (talk) 20:19, 27 January 2017 (UTC)

Hello,

You recently declined my article called 'Smartpay' because it does not adequately show the subject's notability, however I believe that I have provided significant evidence that show the subject's notability. All the sources I have used are from a notable third-party website and not Smartpay's own website and I have included them wherever necessary. Could you please explain how I could provide further evidence of the subject's notability as I thought I had already done so.

Thanks, Ben

Please explain to me how to cite the information that I received by in person interviews. My last paragraph has the link to the website and stated where the information was from.

There are thousands of businesses with wikipedia pages. I in no way marketed anything in my article. I simply provided basic information on the company and it's founders.

Examples of business wikipedia pages:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/McDonald's

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Morgan_%26_Morgan_PA

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sears

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fred_Astaire_Dance_Studios

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Walmart

If there is something wrong with my article, please give me a specific example instead of just saying wikipedia isn't for business listings. Because that isn't really true considered the thousands of businesses with wikipedia pages.

Those are notable businesses and yours is not yet until there's significant coverage in reliable sources. KGirlTrucker81 huh? what I've been doing 12:42, 1 February 2017 (UTC)

PRODs and AfD

I have transcluded Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Sahar Ghoreishi in the lists Wikipedia:WikiProject Deletion sorting/Women and Wikipedia:WikiProject Deletion sorting/Iran. While WP:IRAN isn't terribly active, WP:WOMEN is, and in any case I think it is important that both WikiProjects are informed about the discussion, so we at least try to reduce gender- and geo-bias. AfD discussions that falls into CAT:AFD/B are almost always sorted into at least one geographical list apart from topical lists. WP:DELSORT/FLAT comes in handy.

Speaking from my own experience, tagging articles for deletion - except maybe for those cases that are very clearly eligible for deletion under one of our strict criteria for speedy deletion - without performing a search for sources is a bad habit. For some "good" examples, check out the blue-linked titles in this log file, and in the archives of that log file, and the red fields here. Yes, {{facepalm}} applies, that's for sure. The mantra I keep repeating to myself these days is "Do your WP:BEFORE, Sam, and consider WP:ATD before tagging for deletion", and I believe this credo at least has reduced my share of inept tags.

In this diff you tagged Kireeti Damaraju with {{citation style}}, {{unreliable sources}}, and {{lead missing}}, and two-and-a-half minutes later in this diff you proposed Sahar Ghoreishi be uncontroversially deleted, and gave the short rationale Fails NACTOR. If we are to believe the two articles prima facie, then Damaraju has four roles to his credit, none of them starring AFAICT, in the last four years, whereas Ghoreishi has 38 roles on her CV in the last 7–8 years. Twenty-nine of these productions are blue-linked in her article on Farsi Wikipedia. On English Wikipedia we have at least Guidance Patrol?! where the infobox lists her as starring. So, the BLP with the shortest career and the fewest credits of the two you slap maintenance templates on, and the BLP with ~twice as long a career and ~9 times as many roles you PRODNOM? Could you tell me where the logic is?

I get 90.000+ Ghits on "Sahar Ghoreishi" and I get 500.000+ Ghits on "سحر قریشی". Numbers like these in my experience shout WP:NPOSSIBLE and tells me to look more carefully to see if I can find reliable sources with significant coverage. A more narrow search using the intitle: parametre reveals that there are currently 200+ Gnews hits on her Farsi name. In the title. A straight Gnews search returns 160.000+ hits. This is in my opinion not a PROD case. I am aware of WP:MUSTBESOURCES and WP:GHITS, which is why I have commented at AfD rather than casting a !vote, but I regard your deletion rationale as a WP:VAGUEWAVE argument. Assuming that your "PROD stands" and that you speak Farsi - I have no idea how anyone would think they reasonably could pass a judgement on a subject about which the majority of the sources are in a language they do not speak, although I have once heard the baffling argument made at an AfD discussion that a PROD nominator upheld his "delete" !vote and discounted French language sources because he did not read French - could you please return to AfD and help me understand why none of the sources are useful? Should you upon further consideration and vetting of the available sources have a change of heart and a wish to withdraw the nomination, the instructions found at WP:WDAFD may be followed. Regards, — Sam Sailor 18:45, 1 February 2017 (UTC) P.S. You have an unclosed <big> tag in your editnotice.

I naively speak english, but fair enough, I have done WP:BEFORE searches before nominating anything for deletion. Thanks for the advice. KGirlTrucker81 huh? what I've been doing 12:18, 2 February 2017 (UTC)

New Page Review - newsletter No.2

Hello KGirlTrucker81,
A HUGE backlog

We now have 818 New Page Reviewers!
Most of us requested the user right at PERM, expressing a wish to be able to do something about the huge backlog, but the chart on the right does not demonstrate any changes to the pre-user-right levels of October.

Hitting 17,000 soon

The backlog is still steadily growing at a rate of 150 a day or 4,650 a month. Only 20 reviews a day by each reviewer over the next few days would bring the backlog down to a managable level and the daily input can then be processed by each reviewer doing only 2 or 3 reviews a day - that's about 5 minutes work!
It didn't work in time to relax for the Xmas/New Year holidays. Let's see if we can achieve our goal before Easter, otherwise by Thanksgiving it will be closer to 70,000.

Second set of eyes

Remember that we are the only guardians of quality of new articles, we alone have to ensure that pages are being correctly tagged by non-Reviewer patrollers and that new authors are not being bitten.

Abuse

This is even more important and extra vigilance is required considering Orangemoody, and

  1. this very recent case of paid advertising by a Reviewer resulting in a community ban.
  2. this case in January of paid advertising by a Reviewer, also resulting in a community ban.
  3. This Reviewer is indefinitely blocked for sockpuppetry.

Coordinator election

Kudpung is stepping down after 6 years as unofficial coordinator of New Page Patrolling/Reviewing. There is enough work for two people and two coords are now required. Details are at NPR Coordinators; nominate someone or nominate yourself. Date for the actual suffrage will be published later.

Hello,

On 11:33, 28 January 2017‎, you had created a redirect page called Time Spike, The Alexander Inheritance in addition to separate redirect pages for Time Spike and The Alexander Inheritance. Was the creation of Time Spike, The Alexander Inheritance redirect page just the result of a simple typing mistake? Mistakes do happens from time to time (especially when some tools could use a better designed GUI). No major damage done. However, there is now an extra redirect page that perform no real function except looks really strange when someone bothers to use the "what links here" feature and look at the list of redirects for a particular page. If you are able to delete the "extra" page, that would help tidy things up. Thanks. -68.45.25.137 (talk) 02:31, 12 February 2017 (UTC)

IP block exempt

I have granted your account an exemption from IP blocking. This will allow you to edit through full blocks affecting your IP address when you are logged in.

Please read the page Wikipedia:IP block exemption carefully, especially the section on IP block exemption conditions.

Note in particular that you are not permitted to use this userright to edit Wikipedia via anonymous proxies, or disruptively. If you do, or there is a concern of abuse, then the right may be removed by any administrator.

Appropriate usage and compliance with the policy may be checked (through the use of CheckUser) periodically, due to the nature of block exemption, and block exemption will be removed when no longer needed (for example, when the block it is related to expires).

I hope this will enhance your editing, and allow you to edit successfully and without disruption. Yamla (talk) 14:21, 9 February 2017 (UTC)

Hey Trucker, Thanks for your help in making my page super-awesome. Not really requesting a re-review yet as I've only added six references so far, and the person I'm writing about has lots of theatre roles and stuff that I ought to add. Just wanna know which sort of references you prefer - which references are super trust-worthy or whatever. Should the references all just appear at the bottom of the page or do you want some halfway through the text? Another Wiki page that needs some reviewing (about a subject I work on) is the page on the Roman Aqueduct called the "Aqua Traiana" - perhaps you can help kill the nonsense in that page so it can be sorted out. I discovered part of that aqueduct [1] so I sort of feel it's my duty to improve the truly aweful Wiki page. Let me know, Ted O'Neill

Hello KGirlTrucker81,

Voting for coordinators has now begun HERE and will continue through/to 23:59 UTC Monday 06 March. Please be sure to vote. Any registered, confirmed editor can vote. Nominations are now closed.

Still a MASSIVE backlog

We now have 818 New Page Reviewers but despite numerous appeals for help, the backlog has NOT been significantly reduced.
If you asked for the New Page Reviewer right, please consider investing a bit of time - every little helps preventing spam and trash entering the mainspace and Google when the 'NO_INDEX' tags expire.

Request on 15:09:45, 21 February 2017 for assistance on AfC submission by Hugo Timmis

My page has recently been declined due to lack of references. I was wondering how I could reference my page better, such as photos, property papers etc?

Hugo Timmis (talk) 15:09, 21 February 2017 (UTC)

It needs independent third party reliable sources such as major news reviews. If you want more help, stop by at the WP:Teahouse. KGirlTrucker81 huh? what I've been doing 19:01, 21 February 2017 (UTC)

The biography page I submitted for Marnix Koumans is clearly sourced by the U.S. Customs and Border Protection Agency webpage. I'm a little confused.

Currently, your draft has only have one source which don't establish notability. If you want more help, stop by at the WP:Teahouse. KGirlTrucker81 huh? what I've been doing 21:41, 22 February 2017 (UTC)

Parra fiction

I have tagged Parra fiction with {{db-madeup}}. I don't know what was "slightly promotional" about it. — Sam Sailor 02:25, 26 February 2017 (UTC)

"Slightly promotional" means there's a litte peacocky language in the article. KGirlTrucker81 huh? what I've been doing 02:29, 26 February 2017 (UTC)
Such as? — Sam Sailor 02:42, 26 February 2017 (UTC)
Those words highlighted in red: "tells us" "God gave us" are examples of the pecocky language. KGirlTrucker81 huh? what I've been doing 03:09, 26 February 2017 (UTC)
No, "tells us" and "God Gave us" are not peacock terms. And in Parra fiction, the text string "God Gave us" is not even found. — Sam Sailor 03:20, 26 February 2017 (UTC)
Oh, I still suspect it's promotional and it's written like The Bible. KGirlTrucker81 huh? what I've been doing 03:27, 26 February 2017 (UTC)

Hi KGirlTrucker81, I'm writing you about my rejected article on the card game Jewels. The reason for rejection was lack of reliable sources, so I was wondering if adding a section called "Reception and critics" would help? There I could write about the reviews the game has received, and add the sources.

I think the game deserve to be included here since it managed to successfully complete a kickstarter campaign, and to create a small player audience. The game can't be purchased new at the moment, so I'm not trying to promote it or anything like that (in fact I'm not associated or connected to them). I just think that's a small gem (no pun intended :D), and deserves to be remembered/listed among the notable card games since it received positive reviews and has a score of 7.1 on Board Game Geek out of 65 ratings.

If you have any tips on any other way to improve the article, please let me know.

Please re-review page - all concerns taken care of

My colleague created a page with some mistakes - [[Draft:SAP_Web_IDE]]. I (195.93.234.8 (talk) 06:45, 5 March 2017 (UTC)) have taken care of all the concerns -- notability, sourcing -- and believe it is ready to be released. It is as sourced and notable as hundreds of already approved Wikipedia pages on similar subjects. Can you re-review the page? If OK, should I remove the warnings? Thanks for reviewing in the first place.

I'll defer to another AFC reviewer because it's nearly borderlined declining this draft. KGirlTrucker81 huh? what I've been doing 12:55, 5 March 2017 (UTC)

barbwires site is tagged for deletion

Currently in the process fo building the references and such that an entry requires, and hope you can slow down a bit on the rush to kill..

Barbwires.Com is a site instrumental in building music support WAY BACK to the 2000s, and worked locally to help musicians build VIDEO presence BEFORE YOUTUBE - currently you will find - "well.... google didn't return anything..." and that is part of the problem, Please try a YAHOO or BING search and you will see we are reaching audience and HAVE BEEN for 17 YEARS as BARBWIRES.COM I did add some additional detail into the ARCHIVE.ORG as reference and need to add much more, but it is coming.

See, we refuse to PAY google, they took away an advertizing account - took the money we were due, and shut us out - SO I went back to the weak competition DOUBLECLICK had when google bought them, and signed agreements with them as publisher to affilate their ads. It seems clear to me they have some MECHANISM for pushing web-site OUT OF EXISTANCE.

Please TruckerGirl81, give some time to complete the reference I HAVE SPENT MY LIFE BUILDING THIS COMPANY and RADIOSTORM my other company from 1998 got sold out to Atlantic Records, and then broke because AD revenue dropped out of viable in 2003. I am working and HAVE AGREEMENTS with SEVERAL RECORDING LABELS IN GERMANY, DENMARK and elsewhere, and This NET Radio STATION MATTERS.

We have 10,000 followers now on @barbwiresradio and I am working my *ss off on @onyourturntable to keep ties with industry friends. Won't you be my neighbor? thanks, 74.92.41.77 (talk) 19:53, 13 March 2017 (UTC)ZzeonBlue currently doing the quickie anon thing

Hi KGirlTrucker81, thanks for converting my recent article on Joanne Frye to a Draft. I'm a relatively new user (this is my fourth article). When one of my recent articles was accepted, it included the message that I may now begin to create articles in the mainspace, or submit them if I wish. I began the article on Joanne Frye in my Sandbox, but the only option it gave me from there was to "Submit for review" (which, I imagine, is how it got to you). Since I am a logged in user, is there a way to transfer it directly to the mainspace? I'm happy to have it reviewed, but if it would save other editors time, I'm happy to upload it myself. Hi, thank you for your edits. I agree maybe it is not notable enough for now. I had seen the article in the Boston Herald last weekend and I thought I should include him on Wiki because transgender physicians are very rare. I believe he is receiving a few other national interviews at this time and when those are released I will go ahead and add those sources as well, if that would help satisfy the notability guidelines?

Although my page isn't finished yet, I have added cites to every area where it is needed as I go just incase I add information to expand on later. Hopefully you can take back your deletion proposal? Thank you! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Joaquincamarista (talkcontribs) 12:59, 28 March 2017 (UTC)

Joaquincamarista, it looks like the proposed deletion has already been removed. Primefac (talk) 13:05, 28 March 2017 (UTC) (talk page stalker)

Help?

Does anyone know how I can insert an information box into a page I am editing? What I mean by an information box, is that box that you usually find on the left side of the article when you are viewing a famous person, celebrity etc, which is stating their name, age, children, spouse, occupation etc.? Here is what I mean, look on the left side, that whole box where Ariana's photo is is what I am after. Thank you! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Joaquincamarista (talkcontribs) 13:35, 28 March 2017 (UTC)

Joaquincamarista, I think you're looking for {{infobox person}}. Primefac (talk) 14:17, 28 March 2017 (UTC)

Your GA nomination of Jesse Eisenberg

The article Jesse Eisenberg you nominated as a good article has passed ; see Talk:Jesse Eisenberg for comments about the article. Well done! If the article has not already been on the main page as an "In the news" or "Did you know" item, you can nominate it to appear in Did you know. Productive Learning Culture

KGirlTrucker81:

First, thank you for your work on Wikipedia. Your work is important and I appreciate it.

Thank you for reviewing my submission. I'm confused on why my submission was not accepted. You mentioned that I did not have any reliable sources. I did submit two different references. CEB or the Conference Executive Board is thought to be one of the world's thought leaders on talent development and talent analytics. They are a very reliable source. Almost anybody that works in training and development would recognize the work of CEB. The other source I cited was a blog posting by the Association for Talent Development (ATD). ATD has thousands of members in the talent development field and are also widely recognized for their contributions to the field of training and development.

Those are not reilable sources such as a newspaper or in a online news review. If you need more help stop by at the WP:Teahouse. KGirlTrucker81 huh? what I've been doing 11:09, 29 March 2017 (UTC)

Help? Again.

Hi!

How come when I search the person who I am writing about on Google - there Wikipedia page does not come up? How can I make this happened?

Thank you. Joaquincamarista (talk) 05:18, 29 March 2017 (UTC)Joaquincamarista

Those results do not appear on Google until reviewed by a volunteer on WP:NPP or after 30 days. KGirlTrucker81 huh? what I've been doing 11:11, 29 March 2017 (UTC)

Slate Star Codex AfD

Because the general notability guideline doesn't precisely define "significant coverage", I would appreciate it if you could answer the following two questions about your Delete comment in the Slate Star Codex AfD, to help me in future.

1. Could you describe what was it about the reliable sources that we cited in the article that made their coverage of Slate Star Codex not significant, in your view?

2. Can you give me an idea of what changes (e.g. more reliable sources, more in-depth coverage in a reliable source) would have changed your mind on this AfD - and what is the minimum you would require to change your mind?

For reference, the article has been automatically preserved by Deletionpedia here.--greenrd (talk) 08:08, 1 April 2017 (UTC)

Answer to Q1: There are no reliable sources in a GNews search. Q2: two more sources are required to establish notablitiy, one reliable source, or otherwise its not notable. KGirlTrucker81 huh? what I've been doing 10:26, 1 April 2017 (UTC)
That is an invalid way of checking for sources! You should actually read the article and check if the sources cited in it are reliable. Google News does not contain all reliable sources!--greenrd (talk) 10:33, 1 April 2017 (UTC)
I always do an BEFORE search before voting at an AFD or sometimes I may check it. KGirlTrucker81 huh? what I've been doing 10:39, 1 April 2017 (UTC)
I don't follow. Did you mean you always do a BEFORE search and sometimes you also check the article? I didn't mean a BEFORE search is bad, of course it's good to check for coverage that hasn't been included in the article yet, but a BEFORE search is supposed to be in addition to what's already in the article. An editor, or even multiple editors, may have spent a substantial amount of time and effort on researching and writing a new article, and it's demoralising to those people if people vote to delete it without even checking the references that have been provided in the article itself.--greenrd (talk) 12:22, 1 April 2017 (UTC)

Mass surveillance in the United States revert

The change at https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Mass_surveillance_in_the_United_States&type=revision&diff=773345693&oldid=772674210 was reverted by KGirlTrucker81 in https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Mass_surveillance_in_the_United_States&type=revision&diff=773345745&oldid=773345693

Can you please provide more information about why this change was reverted. The original commit message adequately described why the change was occurring: "SEAndroid is the use of SELinux on Android. This functionality has nothing to do with surveillance, and it's presence is misleading and detracts from the primary purpose of the article"

Please revert your revert or further explain why the revert is correct. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.185.1.203 (talk)

Anneliese Eves - note

This shows the normal signs of being a hoax article: signs that it's from a kid's fantasy life (attended Yale, "now lives in a mansion in Beverly Hills") etc, complete lack of evidence on Google that this person exists. I've moved to speedy deletion. Blythwood (talk) 00:08, 2 April 2017 (UTC)

I'll take that, thanks for the notification. KGirlTrucker81 huh? what I've been doing 00:49, 2 April 2017 (UTC)

MNSGEH

I don't know whether that editor, who submitted a blank sandbox to AFC three times, is being a troll, or is confused. Either they should ask for help or they need blocking. Robert McClenon (talk) 03:14, 2 April 2017 (UTC)

Oh yeah, well probably it's a troll who disrupt AFC if submitted for the fourth time. KGirlTrucker81 huh? what I've been doing 09:58, 2 April 2017 (UTC)

Hi KGirlTrucker81, could you direct me to the section, which needs to be changed for SCW to be accepted or any specific words that need to go. I perceive it as neutral, but we all have different views. Thanks for the hint. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:AnRoCa/sandbox AnRoCa (talk) 07:28, 6 April 2017 (UTC)
