AFC category creation

Hi there, I just wanted to let you know that whenever you create new categories pursuant to AFC requests, you seem to be putting its subcategories as parent categories. For example, in the case of Category:Judges by century, the categories Category:7th-century judges‎, Category:12th-century judges‎, etc., should be placed in Category:Judges by century. unreliable source in Yosef Kleiner page

Now, if you read the article & open the sources you can see that the facebook quotes are quotes from the congregation official facebook page talking about changes and updates in the community life. This posts talk only about does changes in the community life and therfore complie with the regulations of reliable sources

   "The material is neither unduly self-serving nor an exceptional claim.
   It does not involve claims about third parties (such as people, organizations, or other entities).
   It does not involve claims about events not directly related to the subject.
   There is no reasonable doubt as to its authenticity.
   The article is not based primarily on such sources.".

Your maintenance tag on page "Craig DiLouie"

Hello, thanks for reviewing my page "Craig DiLouie." You added a maintenance tag, "Some of this article's sources may not be reliable." I don't understand the tag being applied here.

The Amazon page (citation 1) lists the body of fiction work. It is an informative source of what works were published.

The business website (citation 2)lists services and clients in the lighting industry. It directly affirms the statement made in the article.

Citation 3 is an interview with the Horror Writers Association, which hosts the Bram Stoker Awards. The interview talks about the nominated novel Suffer the Children.

Citation 4 is a list of books nominated for a 2015 Audie Award, which include the novel Suffer the Children.

Please provide guidance on how these sources are not reliable, and what types of sources would satisfy you. It's my view they are reliable as they are primary sources.

@Zombieapocalypsenow: Please see WP:RS for that issue, otherwise point 1 and 3 are not reliable. These sources can be replaced with major news reviews, journals, and books that are independent and in-depth. KGirlTrucker81 huh? what I've been doing 11:27, 11 July 2017 (UTC)

For citation 3, the HWA runs the awards, they say in the first paragraph the book was nominated, so I considered that a primary source. I changed it to http://horror.org/final-ballot-bram-stoker-awards/. This is the HWA page that listed all 2014 nominees.

For citation 1, the Amazon author page lists all titles, shows the author's name on them, and that they are for sale. Posting reviews in journals or websites would be a secondary source and result in a huge number of citations. There are no books that list the author's complete works other than the author's books themselves.

Please let me know if you are satisfied, as I'd like the maintenance tag to be removed.

I'm surprised Amazon isn't accepted as a primary resource. The author's page is there and all his titles are listed with all publication data and links to purchase. Amazon is the best source for an online retailer as some of the titles are published exclusively through Amazon. In my view, it is reliable. Has there been a problem with using Amazon as a source in the past, and if so, what was it out of curiosity?

Spurious redirects of name spelling variants

Greetings KGirlTrucker81! (Can we call you KGirl?) You recently accepted a bunch of redirect requests from 47.151.26.64 (talk · contribs · WHOIS), apparently spelling variants culled from a baby name book or site. Many of those redirects are being contested at RfD, because they point to totally unrelated articles, e.g. Zaria, a city in Nigeria, or Madeline, a series of children's books. Perhaps you would consider deleting all the entries requested by this IP user? Even for those which seem to make sense, I don't see much purpose in redirecting Madyson to Madison, Adilynn to Adeline, or Konner to Conor: targets are dab pages anyway, and we should probably apply WP:CSD#R3. My Silent Bravery Submission

Hi there, I see that you reviewed the contribution "My Silent Bravery" and said it doesn't meet basic standards. I included over a dozen independent sources as well as a couple dozen external links verifying the information that I provided in the article. Hello. I came across this article, Steve Lacy (musician) via New Pages Reviewer patrol and noticed a persistent editor moved it from the Draft space to the Main space, but I am not seeing an improvement from when it was a draft. Here is your comment when it was in the Draft space: [15] - it was declined due to poor sourcing. Scrolling down, it can be seen that Swister Twister had also declined this article for the same reason. Perhaps I could have Sister Twister's input and your input here. Hi KGirlTrucker81, thanks for taking the time to review my article on Code Therapy! I appreciate the feedback you gave and took it into consideration when I edited the page. There are now more verifiable sources and more content speaking about the notability of the film.

So you know: A few claims on the page still do not have a published, secondary source, but they are simply describing what happens in the film or who worked on the film, so I used the film's website along with IMDB. This seems to be valid under wikipedia's exceptions for reliable sources, since they are not exceptional claims. Thanks for reviewing my page on Ron Douglas so quickly and leaving feedback/and invitation to chat. I'm obviously new here, so it's very much appreciated!

Ron Douglas is recognized as a T.V. personality on a popular television show, an American millionaire and the founder of one of the largest survivalist organizations to date. Considering the celebrity status and that his cohorts from the show have their own pages, I have trouble doubting his notability.

Likewise, many of the articles I mentioned are articles written entirely about him in publications such as the NY Times and Denver Post, not just "brief mentions." He has several full pieces on him out, which I've linked within, and he was one of the primary people on a show that boasted over half a million viewers. Again, because of this, I have some trouble seeing why he would be considered "not notable" or why his mentions would be considered inadequate.

Likewise, because it is somewhat biographic in nature, as it is about a person and their life directly, I came to understand that some personal content of that individual would be relevant, as it is a primary source of biographical information. Both published secondary and primary sources were included here, and I did reference some pages extremely similar to this one that were published with significantly less sourcing.

Because of this, I'm a little unclear as to why the article was rejected for the reasons you listed. Any further feedback would be very much appreciated.

Developmental Language Disorder

I've been working with wikipedia editor Janyce Boynton on this page . We checked at the outset that the page did not exist, and I still can't find one, but you have rejected my page on the grounds it does already exist. The link you sent goes to a place that says it does not exist! Hi KGirlTrucker81 - Sorry, still very confused. There is no Developmental Language Disorder page that I can find on Wikipedia. Please note, the term Developmental Language Disorder has recently been agreed as the preferred term by several official bodies following a big consensus exercise (as described in the Wikipedia page). It is in use by Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists in the UK, and will be the term used by the World Health Organisation in their International Classification of Diseases (ICD-11). It really does need its own page! If we keep SLI and DLD together, this is going to cause endless confusion. Here's what I say about it in the draft Wikipedia page for DLD:

The term developmental language disorder (DLD) was endorsed in a consensus study involving a panel of experts (CATALISE Consortium) in 2017.[1]. The study was conducted in response to concerns that a wide range of terminology was used in this area, with the consequence that there was poor communication, lack of public recognition, and in some cases children were denied access to services. Developmental language disorder is a subset of language disorder, which is itself a subset of the broader category of speech, language and communication needs (SLCN).

The terminology for children’s language disorders has been extremely wide-ranging and confusing, with many labels that have overlapping but not necessarily identical meanings.[2] In part this confusion reflected uncertainty about the boundaries of DLD, and the existence of different subtypes. Historically, the terms ‘’developmental dysphasia’’ or ‘’developmental aphasia’’ were used to describe children with the clinical picture of DLD.[3] These terms have, however, largely been abandoned, as they suggest parallels with adult acquired aphasia. This is misleading, as DLD is not caused by brain damage.[4]

Although the term DLD has been used for many years, it has been less common than the term Specific language impairment (SLI),[2] which has been widely adopted, especially in North America.[5]. The definition of SLI overlaps with DLD, but was rejected by the CATALISE panel because it was seen as overly restrictive in implying that the child had relatively pure problems with language in the absence of any other impairments. If we keep these two terms together, it will mean that there will be continual sidetracking to explain the difference between SLI and DLD. I did try to do this, and it was a nightmare. So I hope you will please reconsider this judgement. I note that there are separate pages for Asperger syndrome, High-functioning autism, autism and autism spectrum: this is analogous. There is overlap but sufficient differences to justify a new page.

My article's information came from a personal conversation with the current owner of the property that is discussed in the article. She explicitly gave me permission to use the photograph in the article, and anything I learned from our conversation. However, she does not want her name published in a publicly available web page. I had just taken a webinar by OCLC encouraging librarians to edit in Wikipedia, which I have been doing with brief edits for several years, and this requirement for source hadn't been encountered before, although I can see why it's important. To User Primefac : On the one hand, you demand that an entry be notable. On the other hand, any reference to notability of subjects (about which you are clueless) is flagged down by you. Here is a sentence from JFK's wiki entry : Kennedy served at the height of the Cold War. Who decides whether a cold war was really on or just a hype, when its height was reached, etc, etc. There is no way I can prove the subject's notability to non-Indian crowd which is clueless about the topic at hand. I think you may need to have another look at your addition to this page ... It is clear to me that the editor made a mistake of some sort. Advising them to use the 'sandbox' was probably not the most helpful comment, given that that is what they were doing.

And, by the way, I have noticed that some of your huggle edits seem a little 'trigger happy'. Perhaps undoing them is unnecessary; just removing the one small impurity would be more appropriate. Please, also, do not just revert an edit and leave it with vandalism still on the page. I came across one earlier, and sorted it. Other editors may not see the page. Whilst you are in a position to sort it, I think that you should consider taking a few minutes to sort the problem out online. I am not sure; you would need to ask someone at AfC. My initial reaction is: yes, I think that it should be done, but I do not know how you would go about it. I am not involved in that area of WP. What I can say is that the advice you give on the talk page should be more focussed on educating the editor into a more standard way of doing things. I think that they pressed the 'submit' button without realising it. This – to me – suggests an error in WP policy. Sabrett

Thanks for reviewing my history of Sabrett page. The source is the founder's daughter, Marilyn Ogus Katz. She was the dean of students at Sarah Lawrence College in Bronxville, NY.

The background to this is, quite like the story of the "founder" of McDonald's, Roy Kroc, the true history of Sabrett has not yet been published and the company that acquired Sabrett has altered the facts a bit. This is the Katz's family's attempt to correct the facts online.

But many mainstream media for the Nepali film Industy are published in hardcopy and maintained in a blog like platform online (examples: http://www.filmykhabar.com/ , http://www.merocinema.com etc.) and some of the largest publications like http://kathmandupost.ekantipur.com and https://thehimalayantimes.com have widespread audience and are daily publication houses with multiple publications. At this point, the legitimacy of the subject's popularity is not a question, but finding the source is impossible beyond these references. My aim is to have the article published ( I intend to help other fellows dignitaries have their pages as well). Can you please help me establish the page at it's minimum (even with very less content). I see you reverted my edit to the Enernoc page due to it not being 'constructive'. I added a citation from yahoo news to the edit today, but it was reverted again. The company has, in fact, been sold entirely and I find that a significant development in the company's history. To leave this off the 'history' section seems like a omission of a relevant fact. The company no longer operates as a separate corporate entity and the senior management team has resigned. How can I separate the two sections? Create a new article and copy the section in question onto that and remove it from the Sebastian Faulks page? Peace Treaty with North Korea Please advise me your opinion or update article for the subject above when you have time. There is a request of feedback on the article on 26 Aug 2017 at 17:56pm

  • From my understanding, User:Cianmarbo has been created recently and there was no contribution on wikipedia except for the trial of the potential vandalism.

(I don't know whether User:Cianmarbo might against diplomatic attempt- to the Peace Treaty with North Korea because of Cianmarbo's own circumstance, but it is unreasonable - the fault-finding statement from the User:Cianmarbo )

  • My opposed points about the criticism from the User:Cianmarbo:

1) There are no international diplomatic attempt (?) : it is fact and there are enough evidence from USA, China, South Korea and North Korea - it is stated on the several news articles and attached on the Wikipedia 2) The article seems to be based on ones own personal view and there are no diplomatic level (?): it is misleading statement for Wikipedians: Again - there are clear evidence of more than hundred news articles about Peace Treaty political attempt and it is easily searchable via google. 3) A poor standard of English (?): It is subjective idea, and the personal thought should not the reason of the removal of wikipedia article.

  • A suggestion below might be the proper way

" This article is in a list format that may be better presented using prose."

Thank you for your response. I confess I am a self-published author and THERE ARE NO INDEPENDENT SOURCES that discuss my work. They cannot be verifiable as they do NOT exist, unless you read the books themselves. All I want to do is to promote the books and make a name for myself. Why is it marked for Deleting?

Govardhan Vigraham wiki page is marked for deleting. I cant understand why. Govardhan is a National Award winner and a Filmfare Award winner. Having worked for twenty years in the Bollywood film industry he has left enough digital footprints on the internet that can easily be sourced with some minimum effort. Most of the feature films he has worked on are available in various platforms like netflix, amazon prime etc and his name is clearly visible in the opening credits/end credits. I don't understand why declined the submission for the cdbaby reference. Those were only 4 of the ll references and they only linked to references for the songs she has made, not the information about her. All the articles I chose to write about her with are mostly about her and the award that she has won for her music. I have been trying to write an article for her for about a year now, and now she has a lot of references that show her notability so I thought this time I really had it. If you could help me get this right so it can be published I would truly appreciate it.
