I just wanted to let you know you should make a Wikipedia infobox about yourself I tried to but it prevented me from doing so. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Johnnydogfish (talkcontribs) 02:23, 24 December 2021 (UTC) — Preceding undated comment added 02:20, 25 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Did a SPA Just Remove the Sentence You Recently Added to Ansys?[edit]

@LizardJr8 Two weeks ago, you responded to a COI request I submitted for Ansys. (To recap: A single-purpose account appears to have made "undue weight" edits.) I'm sorry to report that another seeming SPA (BarisTulip) just removed the entire sentence you added. Might you take a look? Indeed, as happened with the previous edit, this new edit contains a misleading "edit summary" ("Updated wording to better reflect factual info").

Also, while we're on the subject — if you have the time — might you take a look at the follow-up requests I posted to Ansys's "Talk" page on 3/18? Thank you very much. Signed, BlueRoses13 (talk) 16:19, 29 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I mean, I dunno. I don't see evidence of bad faith in the reversion and I'm not inclined to do much more. It's out of the lede, at least. LizardJr8 (talk) 23:27, 29 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for your speedy reply. Since you didn’t close the COI request — thank you for that, by the way — I think I may change the request so it's not a direct reply to you but instead a new submission to the community. Thanks again for your consideration; I respect your judgment. Signed, BlueRoses13 (talk) 13:30, 4 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Matt the wiki master[edit]

LizardJr8 You left a comment on my talk page about not adding a citation to Tom Brady. I understand I need to have a citation but I didn't know at the time. I also don't know how to add a citation. If you can tell me how to add citations it would be greatly appreciated. Matt the wiki master (talk) 16:35, 1 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Sure, you can see it at WP:Citing_sources. You just need to put the details in between "ref" tags as shown there, with the web address, title, date and so on. Or a book or newspaper or other publication if it is not online. I hope that helps! LizardJr8 (talk) 16:54, 1 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Daniel Wallace "The Art of gen:Lock" book[edit]

Hello, LizardJr8 Have you ever been uploaded Daniel Wallace "The Art of gen:Lock" book published by Viz Media LLC to Internet Archive (archive.org)? Internet Archive is a digital library for digitized old and new archives like videos, photos, books, etc. Yuliadhi (talk) 08:47, 14 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I am not sure what the question is... I use the archive a lot, but I don't upload things to it. LizardJr8 (talk) 17:44, 14 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism[edit]

Thanks for reverting the vandalism on the Barton Paul Levenson Page. He is among the Pittsburgh and Upstate New York writers I edit on Wikipedia. Can you possibly mark the page for vandalism so it can be locked down for a bit?

Thanks ~~The Botendaddy — Preceding unsigned comment added by Botendaddy (talkcontribs) 23:43, 3 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, I lost internet connection for a couple of days so I just saw this. I can't change page protections (you need an Admin for that) but if there is persistent vandalism you can report it at WP:RPP. LizardJr8 (talk) 21:59, 5 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

June 2023[edit]

Would you be able to assist me in removing the false arrest report on Vito LoGrasso’s page. It has nothing to do with any info on the page, there were no charges and was legally removed. Someone linked it with a way back apparently — Preceding unsigned comment added by NoelLoGrasso (talkcontribs) 01:24, 20 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@NoelLoGrasso I removed it as there is no indication this is even the same person so it is not a reliable source for the article. LizardJr8 (talk) 01:34, 20 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you! NoelLoGrasso (talk) 01:36, 20 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism[edit]

Hi, you recently changed my edit on the inflation page, I believe it added some valuable info. What was wrong with it? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A02:C7C:9875:5400:E01B:D66A:44D5:74DA (talk) 01:00, 29 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

There is no need for discussions of Sonic the Hedgehog on the inflation article. Don't be disingenuous. LizardJr8 (talk) 01:06, 29 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Study Invitation[edit]

Hey @LizardJr8, thanks for patrolling edits and reverting vandalism! I wonder if you are interested in our ongoing study for recent change patrollers. The study aims to evaluate AI models that power recent change filters, Huggle, SWViewer, and many other anti-vandal tools. Your feedback can be really helpful! If you're interested, please check out our recruitment page for more information. Thank you for your consideration! Tzusheng (talk) 01:38, 29 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Larry Maguire UAP letters[edit]

Hi,

Would you kindly add the leaked letters to Larry Maguire Wikipedia site? Thanks.

https://www.weaponizedpodcast.com/news-1/uap-reverse-engineering-programs-confirmed Gregtom6 (talk) 09:51, 9 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I am not sure I want to add that. It needs some more investigation and publishing in reliable sources. The CBC coverage [1] only says that it "appears" to be from him, and neither he nor his office have commented. LizardJr8 (talk) 17:45, 9 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

A kitten for you![edit]

Thank you for dedicating your time to reverting recent attempts of vandalism. Many people appreciate what you are doing.

Lizard is Vandalizing[edit]

You vandalize and desecration of the name of our holy cathedral by putting in the words mosque/mezquita. It is a Cathedral and is owned by the Church of Rome. Only Catholics pray in it, it's not a mosque anymore so we should not have the word "mosque" in it's name Tonyk2001 (talk) 23:09, 15 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

That's just, like, your opinion, dude. Seriously though, it's a sourced article and the building appears to have a vast history that is reflected in the article title and contents. As I said, you can take it to the talk page for consensus. LizardJr8 (talk) 23:12, 15 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • Kindly read the tutorial before making your decision, and feel free to post on the project talk page with questions.
  • If patrolling new pages is something you'd be willing to help out with, please consider applying here.

Marc Slutsky[edit]

Hello, I recently made an edit to Marc Slutsky's wikipedia page. These were not test edits and were not errors. I am related to him and was adding more personal information. Nowhat253 (talk) 03:39, 1 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Nowhat253 - Please see the response that I just left on your user talk page here. If you have any questions about the policy I referenced there, please let me know and I'll be happy to explain further. :-) ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 04:04, 1 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for notifying, but this isn't my edit[edit]

You recently informed me of an edit that wasn't constructive. I agree, but it wasn't my edit I'll let you know. 103.199.224.175 (talk) 11:03, 8 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

It was someone from your IP address, so probably just another user at/near your location. No worries. LizardJr8 (talk) 22:42, 8 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

On 18 August 2023, In the news was updated with an item that involved the article Alex Collins (American football), which you updated. If you know of another recently created or updated article suitable for inclusion in ITN, please suggest it on the candidates page. Ed [talk] [majestic titan] 06:18, 18 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Chick-fil-A is homophonic![edit]

@LizardJr8: It is not vandalism at all! Chick-fil-A is a homophone of "Chick filet". 2600:4040:2DBF:DC00:7C9C:8A86:6C7F:4AE2 (talk) 22:15, 24 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The intent is not clear and makes very little sense unless expanded upon (with sources). So not vandalism, but not particularly constructive. It would make more sense to put this in the Chick-Fil-A article about the chain's name, rather than the LGBT article. LizardJr8 (talk) 22:20, 24 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

September 2023[edit]

When the topic is scientific you should have an update validated by someone who understands the topic rather than just reverting any change whatsoever. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.119.4.163 (talk) 16:40, 22 September 2023 (UTC)

  • You did not cite any source whatsoever. Please include WP:RS as nobody knows about your understanding of the topic. LizardJr8 (talk)

P-P fusion[edit]

I'm just curious because I was under the impression that no one here knew this. How did you determine that during P-P fusion the protons almost always repel each other after fusing and very rarely stick together long enough for the helium 2 to decay into deuterium? If you would like to talk I can tell you approximately how many times that occurs before the decay takes place into deuterium. Sarmat Warren (talk) 04:21, 25 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I am sure I have no idea what you are asking. What article? You don't appear to have made any edits before this comment. LizardJr8 (talk) 04:24, 25 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Windover Dig[edit]

"Hello, I'm LizardJr8. I wanted to let you know that I removed one or more external links you added to Windover Archeological Site because they seemed inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page or take a look at our guidelines about links. Thank you. LizardJr8 (talk) 00:46, 16 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]"[reply]

Hello LizardJr8.
I am not clear why you would remove a link to the mans Facebook page whom actually discovered this site. Please allow my valid changes to stand. if you feel anything I printed is inaccurate please take a moment to verify my changes.
Steve does not have an internal page so I feel the link to his FB page is appropriate in this instance.
Humbly submitted.

Rsvnine (talk) 01:11, 16 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Please see WP:EL, we don't put external links in the article. LizardJr8 (talk) 02:30, 16 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

IPs Vandalizing[edit]

The IPs of 41.36.114.242 and 154.177.128.141 have that same pattern of "a random person is vandalizing; does this place even exist?". If they continue (more IPs I mean), could you please fill out an SPI? I'm running short on time and they are still switching IPs and vandalizing. Thanks. PharyngealImplosive7 (talk) 22:47, 22 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I'm going to RPP and will follow up on SPI if needed. LizardJr8 (talk) 22:48, 22 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Ok thanks. PharyngealImplosive7 (talk) 22:48, 22 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Jan 2024[edit]

The reason I changed it because it said 2049 Here it is Ertttt (talk) 16:26, 20 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

It would have been better to correct the date under the photo than to delete the entire infobox. It looks correct now at 2007. LizardJr8 (talk) 20:53, 20 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Blackstone Illinois[edit]

I tried adding in information on Blackstone, and it was removed by you. I added my source, which is a person who I know who lives there. How do I cite this as to not get it removed Lightpocketz (talk) 21:55, 9 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

You need a reliable, published source. Oral or witness opinions aren't accepted. See WP:RS. LizardJr8 (talk) 21:56, 9 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
How do I publish a man’s testimony? Lightpocketz (talk) 21:58, 9 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
It has to be published by someone associated with a reliable source (news website, etc.). LizardJr8 (talk) 22:00, 9 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you[edit]

hi Don't know how to do this but thank-you for tidying up after my Frances Atkinson edit. My first edit but, as a fan of Sonia Stevenson and Joyce Molyneau it needed correcting. Much appreciation for your tidying up 193.237.236.53 (talk) 19:51, 14 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

No worries. You were right to delete the text on Atkinson -- the source says she got the first star in Yorkshire, not the whole country. LizardJr8 (talk) 21:08, 14 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Kapoor[edit]

I corrected the references and put them at the end. I hope that is OK. The addition is well referenced. I don't think not having a wiki page should disadvantage others. Thanks for your help. 142.188.204.89 (talk) 02:04, 5 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Help with Şehzade Bayezid[edit]

Hello I need some possible anti-vandalism help with Şehzade Bayezid. There seems to be continuous edits to dates and numbers in the article. I am having trouble figuring out the last good version. It might not be even this year. There also seems to be copyvio issues with one users edits. The latest edits set off some filters. Could you please take a look? Thanks in advance! Classicwiki (talk) If you reply here, please ping me. 22:34, 5 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Classicwiki: It's a tough one. The MaterialScientist version from 8 December 2023 is probably good, but I don't really have anything to override the interim edits. Sira Aspera seems to be watching it. I'll keep an eye on it. LizardJr8 (talk) 00:41, 6 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Reason for removing Model railway section[edit]

These violate WP:PROMOTION 2001:8003:4213:E800:7521:BB4C:67CD:C3EE (talk) 01:57, 6 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Don't leave your editorial comments within the article. LizardJr8 (talk) 02:04, 6 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I've removed these sections entirely per WP:PROMO and WP:WikiProject Australian Transport consensus that these sections are promotional in nature because they directly advertise model trains for sale. Fork99 (talk) 05:57, 6 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
