Edit on the Google Assistant article

Hi LocalNet! I noticed that you removed the Supported devices section on the Google Assistant article. For now, I have went ahead and reverted this as I believe that a talk page discussion should take place first. The section was initially created to create consistency with the Amazon Alexa article.

I get the point you brought up, and agree that it might be better expressed in text (like in the Cortana article, compared to a list). As for the list being overflowed due to the recent SDK announcement, the section states that only commercially-available products with a reliable secondary source should be included.

@Daylen: That's true! A protip is to tag their name like {{u|username}} on the talk page of the article. Even if they don't have the page on their watchlist at all, that should give them a notification :) LocalNet (talk) 16:13, 15 December 2017 (UTC)

December 2017

I have reverted a part of this edit to Samsung Galaxy S8— as you seemed to have made a duplicate; it already stated in the article that it was released on April 28th. If you're wondering what exactly I reverted, look here. SapphireArte (talk) 16:27, 15 December 2017 (UTC)

Hey there @SapphireArte: The reversion was actually not necessary. As per the "History" section, the Singapore release date was 29 April, but I had accidentally written 28. Now, however, it is bundled in the 28 April release dates, so I'm going to go ahead and add a 29 April header. Also, for future reference, please explain relevant reversions in the edit summary, as you made no mention of coming here to discuss the issue with me, leaving those looking through the history unaware of why you actually did it :) LocalNet (talk) 16:32, 15 December 2017 (UTC)

@Joshguevarra2001: Hey there! I hope you're doing well! It's definitely been quite a long time. I've actually been absent from Wikipedia since December 2017, for reasons explained on my page. I never actually used Wikipedia for social purposes, only to work, but since I'm not doing that anymore, I don't actually log in unless a notification (like your message) sends me here. So that's why I haven't been here talking to you or anyone else. ArbCom 2018 election voter message

Hello, LocalNet. Voting in the 2018 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 3 December. All users who registered an account before Sunday, 28 October 2018, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Thursday, 1 November 2018 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
