Bendgate link[edit]

Although I did notice something was going on with the redirect if it were piped... ViperSnake151  Talk  19:41, 13 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Why have it wrong when we can have it right? I had to change other things at the same time, but you purposely went back and changed it to the wrong one. I understand the guideline, but I had to change more stuff, you just literally changed the wikilink, which the guide says not to, and to the wrong wikilink as well. LocalNet (talk) 19:48, 13 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I'd actually really like your reply to my reply ViperSnake151. Aren't you, by correcting only the link, doing what the guide says not to, while my edit fixed more than just the link? LocalNet (talk) 20:00, 13 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
There were edit conflicts going on too, actually. ViperSnake151  Talk  20:16, 13 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I understand that. But in the end, you specifically changed the wikilink, violating the guide. Why purposefully make it wrong at all, especially with an edit dedicated to it? I just don't understand the logic, and in all honesty, I would revert you if there wasn't such a guide. LocalNet (talk) 20:24, 13 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I'm actually considering reverting you anyway. As per that guide and WP:BRD about your original text rewording, my edit or refined edit should actually stay until discussion is over. But I don't want to cause an edit war either. LocalNet (talk) 20:30, 13 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

iOS Articles[edit]

Hello, me again. I've noticed that you've got a good job in editing iOS 9. All of the information are there, and I'm so impressed with it. Can you update the articles of iOS 6, 7, and 8, like you did for an iOS 9 article, please? Thanks! Joshguevarra2001 (talk) 04:20, 21 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the praise, it's extremely appreciated! :D I am planning on taking a look at those articles and adding/improving to those. However, it should be noted that the coverage iOS received a few years back was not as extensive as it gets today; therefore, there might be information that the articles should have that they can't have, simply due to lack of sources. But I will take a look. :) LocalNet (talk) 06:11, 21 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
One more question, when do you start improving it? :) Joshguevarra2001 (talk) 11:59, 21 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Hehe. I wanted to finish rewriting the article about the Pegasus spyware that impacted iOS. Now that I've finished that and revised the iOS 9 section about it, I'm going to take a little break from editing while I read through the sources I have found about iOS 8. I expect to get started on iOS 8 today, but the exact time is unknown. Keep iOS 8 in your watchlist with email notifications enabled and you'll be notified when I make my first edit. ;) P.S. I don't rush my edits, I want to write clearly and precisely, so I hope you can be patient with me :) Have little or no knowledge with iOS 8, so that might take some extra time to properly dive into its content, but I'm excited to start learning. :) LocalNet (talk) 12:09, 21 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, I'm so sorry about that. So I guess I will wait until you know about it. I understand what you've said. One more thing before i go, Include iOS 4,5,6, and 7 in your watchlist, even the earlier versions of iOS :) That would be better. :) Joshguevarra2001 (talk) 12:19, 21 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
No worries :) While I will try, I suspect there is too much of a lack of sources for versions dating back to 4 or 5. I'll do what I can, but my information only goes as far as sources go, as per verifiability. But we'll find out when we get that far. iOS 8 is the next priority :) LocalNet (talk) 12:26, 21 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Oh thank you thank you thank you so much!!! :D Joshguevarra2001 (talk) 12:28, 21 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Hahaha, you're welcome! ;) LocalNet (talk) 12:29, 21 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Hi again Joshguevarra2001! At this time, I think I'm going to try to finish iOS 8, but that'll be it. Older iOS articles aren't covered by much media, and there are other articles I'd rather get to. I have started, so I will try to finish, but I just wanted you to know I have no plans, at this time, to go further back in history. LocalNet (talk) 05:02, 26 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, thanks for trying, i know that you didn't edit the rest, but i understand what you've said. I will look for someone else to edit the rest, but thanks for everything. Joshguevarra2001 (talk) 02:23, 27 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Joshguevarra2001, me again! :P Just wanted to let you know that despite what I wrote here, I *will* give earlier versions a try. I go back and forth on my decision here, but as far as iOS 7 is concerned, there are still sources covering the information. Can't speak for iOS 6 or earlier yet, but iOS 7 is apparently covered by enough sources that I can do at least some parts of the work. :) LocalNet (talk) 18:07, 29 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
P.S. The reason I previously hesitated to do older versions is because I strictly adhere to the verifiability policy. It's not that I'm too lazy or don't want to do it. The older subject matters are, the less likely there are to be live, working sources. I just don't want you to think that you can't ask me to do other things in the future. I really appreciated your original message asking for my help in covering older versions, as I love it whenever my edits are appreciated and I want to contribute all I can to Wikipedia; just remember that if I don't do some versions, that's not a negative sign towards you asking. :) LocalNet (talk) 18:34, 29 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, i'm making fun of my edits, because recently in iOS 7 article, i forgot to revert back the photos and camera section and I was like, OMG :O. hahaha. I didn't know that it's gonna to be happen. But anyways, thanks for that :) Happy New Year's Eve!! Joshguevarra2001 (talk) 14:06, 31 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Haha, I noticed. Thanks to Wikipedia's edit history, it was very easy to change it back, so it was no problem :) Happy New Year's Eve to you too! :D LocalNet (talk) 14:09, 31 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
