I now understand what I did wrong. I was overly excited to join and submit someone I (and others I know) genuinely believe should be on wikipedia. As I started to explore my eyes were opened to wikipedia though and I realize that this was somewhat selfish and not in the spirit of wikipedia. I created my user page in haste but now I hope to become an editor and contribute to the wikipedia community. I'd like to take the tour and slow down a bit. If you would let me prove myself I'd like to edit other articles. I would really be upset if my ip address got blocked for good. Thanks and I hope you will consider this appeal

A couple of questions, before unblocking. On your userpage, you state that it is your aim "to tell the world that Al Carbee is important." Your unblock request gives me some hope, but just to be clear: Do you understand that Wikipedia is not a platform for soapboxing like this, and will you abide by the best practice guidelines when writing about Carbee? Could you also state whether you have any direct personal connection to Carbee (you don't have to post anything that might identify you, just clarify whether or not you have any professional, familial or other personal relationship with him)? Hi, Yunshui. I understand all of your concerns. I really was hasty in getting on wikipedia and just wanted to add Carbee. I have no relation to Carbee and I have never met him. I saw the movie Magical Universe which really touched me. I think that I would take a little hiatus from editing Carbee even though I have more articles to back up the info on there that I couldn't add due to the block. I understand that there should be rigorous scrutiny on Carbee and anything I do in general. I hope to do the wikipedia adventure right after being unblocked, if you so choose, so I can learn more. Then maybe I can edit a bit and prove myself. Thanks. MagicalUniverse
