Thanks

Thanks for cleaning up my talk page. --McSly (talk) 04:16, 4 April 2011 (UTC)

Haha. No problem. You kept beating me to all the namespace vandalism so I took some pride in cleaning that up :). MobileSnail 04:23, 4 April 2011 (UTC)

St John's Wood

Mobile Snail - St John's Wood article: I changed 'installment' to 'instalment' because it's the British spelling of the word - and it is after all a place in England being described. However, if you prefer the US spelling, so be it. user: kaneia49 — Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.25.109.197 (talkcontribs)

Just a note, moved that from the wrong page but I am not involved. Simply south...... trying to improve for 5 years 15:43, 5 April 2011 (UTC)

Duplicate articles

Hi there, just informing you that about 10 minutes after you created ‎2010-11 Texas A&M Aggies women's basketball team, User:BlueAg09 created 2010–11 Texas A&M Aggies women's basketball team. While the article you created has more content, the article BlueAg09 created is at the correct title (per MOS:DASH). If you don't have any objections, I'm going to merge the articles, with the article you created becoming the redirect (also posted at User talk:BlueAg09). Cheers, Jenks24 (talk) 05:49, 6 April 2011 (UTC)

As you don't seem to be currently editing and BlueAg09 gave his/her assent, I have boldly merged the articles. Please let me know if you have any concerns. Cheers, Jenks24 (talk) 06:27, 6 April 2011 (UTC)
No problems here. Thanks for taking charge. MobileSnail 20:20, 6 April 2011 (UTC)

2011 Orange Bowl GAN

Thanks for taking the time to read this article. The ones I put out can be a slog for someone not as passionate about the subject, and having reviewed a few GAs, I know the effort involved.

Your comment about photographs was just the push I needed to go into Flickr and search for a few. I uploaded two to Wikimedia Commons, and one of those has applications beyond just this article, so feel free to take credit for improving Stanford Axe, Big Game (football), and a few others.

As to citing the lede, I try to follow the precedent I set with featured articles like 2000 Sugar Bowl and others — any information I mention in the lede, I repeat and cite later in the article. That way, the lede is a bit clearer for people who aren't interested in the nitty-gritty and just want to get a quick question answered. If I've mentioned something in the lede that isn't cited later on, please let me know.

Because the NFL Draft hasn't taken place yet, the article's last section is incomplete. I was a bit unsure how to approach it, since it'll change in the next few weeks. If there's something you think should be mentioned, let me know.

Thanks again for your time, and keep editing! JKBrooks85 (talk) 06:29, 6 April 2011 (UTC)

Very nice. I have now listed the article as a GA. Let me commend you on your work there. The article looks fantastic, especially with the pictures! MobileSnail 20:24, 6 April 2011 (UTC)
Hey, I wouldn't have thought about putting in pictures without your idea. Appreciate it. JKBrooks85 (talk) 22:55, 6 April 2011 (UTC)

May I ask what [1] was all about? NW (Talk) 00:46, 28 April 2011 (UTC)

Ugh. The initial revert was carelessness on my part. I saw the massive amount of content removed and forgot to check out the edit summary. Shortly after the revert I noticed the edit summary, canceling the revert. Huggle indicated that the revert had not gone through, but I guess it did. My mistake for carelessness in the first place.
