Deleted and restored - watch out for copyright issues[edit]

Lockman Hole was deleted in the Marshallsumter incident as documented at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:WikiProject_Astronomy/User:Marshallsumter_Incident_Article_Fix-up_Coordination_Page

Based on Wikipedia:Requested articles/Natural sciences/Astronomy and cosmology and Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL it seems that it would indeed be worth an article, so it was restored, first to my user page. Please look for and fix any of the sort of copyright violations that led to the ban. ★NealMcB★ (talk) 05:16, 11 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Needed: clarity on what neutral hydrogen absorbs[edit]

How is the lockmanhole different from the rest of the sky? What extragalactic wavelengths get thru that don't get thru elsewhere? Exactly how big is it, how does the clarity vary in different parts of the hole, etc? ★NealMcB★ (talk) 04:43, 12 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Desired: nice image of the hole[edit]

Where can we get a suitably-licensed image, like Figure 2, Plate 31 from the Snoden paper ★NealMcB★ (talk) 04:57, 13 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Pieces to clear[edit]

  1. «…clearly visible on a plot of H I column density.»
The link is to H I region, o'k, but I was just there and... I'd rather like to get about the "plot" and what that "column density" is. Than dig another time through the whole that other article... WDYT? Lincoln Josh (talk) 16:16, 18 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I went ahead and removed this line. While I know what it was trying to say, I don't think it added anything of value to the article. James McBride (talk) 07:03, 3 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
