Notability[edit]

Hello Noyster, you were involved in an AfD whose result presumed notability for all railway stations, just as we previously did for schools. You might be interested in this one: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Hapa Road railway station. There are currently 2,800 articles written about the 8,500 railway stations in India. Two thousand of those are stubs and several hundred are single-source sub-stubs. The inclusionists point to Wikipedia:Notability_(Railway_lines_and_stations)#Stations as policy that mandates notability, but I don't read it that way. Please adjust page protection[edit]

Please adjust the page protection settings on the following pages. As discussed at there is clear community consensus that ECP should not apply for "high risk templates" and nothing under WP:ECP supports such protection to this/these template(s) (example: "by request" is insufficient).

Thank you. Buffs (talk) 16:13, 17 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom 2019 election voter message[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2019 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 on Monday, 2 December 2019. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2019 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:16, 19 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Can you share more about Indexing concerns?[edit]

Hi Noyster. I'm new to Wiki and am interested in topics of global health. I'm currently doing research on WikiMed pages for my masters thesis. I saw you were involved in a discussion around Riceissa and their use of indexing on personal pages.

Would you be willing to hop on a call and talk through this with me for 30 mins as part of my work?

Thanks for considering --Whiskiz (talk) 10:38, 20 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Since you contributed to Rights of the Accused Pre-Trial Scotland, you are invited to join a discussion regarding a proposed change to its title. Hairy Dude (talk) 13:36, 5 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Leeds Wikipedia meetup on Saturday 4th May[edit]

Hello there! Interested in having a chat with fellow Wikipedians? There's a meetup in Leeds on Saturday 4th May 2024, at the Tiled Hall Café at Leeds Central Library.

Full details here.

You're receiving this one-off message as you're either a member of WikiProject Yorkshire, you've expressed an interest in a previous Leeds meetup years ago, or (for about 4 of you), we've met :)

I plan to organise more in future, so if you'd like to be notified next time, please say so over on the meetup page.

Please also invite any Wikimedia people you know (or have had wiki dealings with) – spread the word! Hope to see you there.
