Article about your facility[edit]

Hello, I saw your post on the help desk about your facility, which you say has an interesting history and you believe should have an article. Can you provide me some links to resources about your facility that do not come from the facility itself? For example, have there been books, magazine articles, newspaper articles written that detail the history of the facility? An article cannot be written without 3rd party reliable sources. ~ ONUnicorn(Talk|Contribs)problem solving 16:12, 6 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

https://issuu.com/fargodiocese/docs/novnewearth2012 An article in the Fargo Diocese news magazine: St. Anne’s Guest Home in Grand Forks celebrated 60 years of loving care Oct. 28 through Nov. 4. The week of commemoration included days of prayer for specific people and groups associated with St. Anne’s, themed dress-up days, an evening dance and a noon Mass and reception at the conclusion. Family and friends were invited to join in the celebration marking the 60th anniversary of St. Anne’s. Monsignor Wendelyn Vetter celebrated the special Mass of thanksgiving which followed with a reception and music by the North Valley Accordion Club. St. Anne’s is managed by the Franciscan Sisters of Dillingen, Hankinson N.D. Province. They have been providing services to the elderly and vulnerable since 1945, at which time a 20-bed home was opened in Fargo. By 1952, it had become evident that larger facilities were needed. So at the request of Bishop Dworschak, the sisters moved to Grand Forks, converting the old St. Michael’s Hospital into a home accommodating over 100 residents. In 1978, the Sisters were informed by the state fire marshal that the old hospital could no longer comply with state fire codes and would have to close its doors. Plans for a new facility were made with the help of concerned Grand Forks citizens, and in 1981 the home moved to its current location. St. Anne’s now has two facilities for the care of the elderly and vulnerable, including 54 units for basic care in the south wing and 30 low-rent efficiency apartments in the north wing. Throughout these years, the Sisters of St. Francis have constantly striven to create an environment of living and sharing the Gospel message. The Sisters have provided those services to the elderly and vulnerable to meet their physical, social, psychological, and spiritual needs. St. Anne’s primary objective is to promote the self-worth, personal dignity, security, happiness, and healthful longevity.

The first article you linked to, in the Fargo Diocese, is a start. The other two things you linked to aren't really acceptable sources by Wikipedia's standards. The second one is a blog post, and blog posts are generally not reliable for anything except the opinions of their authors. The third one also appears to not be independent of the facility, as it uses first person language ("we") to describe it.
I need at least three independent sources that treat the subject in some depth in order to show that the topic is Notable and in order to gather enough information to craft a worthwhile article. ~ ONUnicorn(Talk|Contribs)problem solving 16:51, 7 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I've found a couple more potential sources and started a draft at Draft:Saint Anne's Guest Home. I'm still not sure the home meets Wikipedia's Notability requirements. However, the building it used to occupy does, and there is already an article about it. We need to carefully consider if Saint Anne's should have its own article, what information should go in Saint Anne's article, what should go in the article about the building, and how much overlap there should be. ~ ONUnicorn(Talk|Contribs)problem solving 17:28, 7 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
By the way, your username doesn't comply with Wikipedia's username policy, and you should really ask to have it changed. ~ ONUnicorn(Talk|Contribs)problem solving 22:07, 7 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
