May 2021[edit]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions, but in one of your recent edits to Lawnchair Larry flight, it appears that you have added original research, which is against Wikipedia's policies. Original research refers to material—such as facts, allegations, ideas, and personal experiences—for which no reliable, published sources exist; it also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. Thank you. – wallyfromdilbert (talk) 18:02, 23 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Oh I see .... very silly. As projects lose their momentum (e.g. DNB and Johnson's first dictionary) they get taken over by the bureaucrats who are preserving the project by preventing any change (inc. improvements) and they get to believe its their creation... forgetting those who toiled for 8 years. Its still worth improving IMO. Victuallers (talk) 09:42, 8 June 2021 (UTC) ... I repaired the Lawnchair Larry article and your addition looks good Victuallers (talk) 16:10, 10 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Find a Grave[edit]

Hey Verne Equinox, just a heads up that Find a Grave is considered a generally unreliable source because it's all user-generated. There's more about that, including discussions about its reliability, at WP:RSP. Cheers! Woodroar (talk) 22:00, 25 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

September 2021[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm FMSky. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Chris Cornell, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. FMSky (talk) 11:47, 9 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@FMSky: Thanks, I was in error. He grew up in an Irish Catholic family, per source 18. I'll make that change. Also, please revise your canned advice for beginners. It is insulting to longstanding editors like me, even though we sometimes make mistakes. Verne Equinox (talk) 19:15, 9 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
