I don't see any need for an article on Hernan. It didn't affect any land, it didn't set any records, and overall there wasn't much of anything special about it. However, if you are interested in article writing, there are plenty of older storms that either have articles and need work, or caused some impact on land but do not have an article. Hi Yellow Evan! In case it hasn't been done, I'd like to formally welcome you to Wikipedia. First, I noticed that you've been editing tropical cyclone articles, so you might be interested in joining the WikiProject Tropical cyclones, an organized group of editors focused on creating, expanding, and improving tropical cyclone-related articles. That said, I've looked over your contribution list, and I've noticed a few things. First, per notability guidelines, not all tropical cyclones need an article, especially ones that caused little damage, regardless of strength. One such storm is Hurricane Hernan (2008), which probably doesn't need an article. It would be more productive to work on existing storm articles. If you do want to create articles, you should become familiar with Wikipedia's policies, guidelines, and the WikiProject Tropical cyclone's standards. A good place to learn about writing better articles is this page. One of the most important aspects to creating articles is to cite your sources, and format them properly. Another important process is using correct grammar, and learning small tricks of the trade, such as never using exclamation points in an article. The next is to calm down :)

Although I understand that this storm can have an article even though it never affect land, the creation of it should have been held off until the TCR for it came out. The order of the storm doesn't determine how long the TCR takes to come out. Stronger/long lived/landfalling storms take longer than weaker/short lived/non-landfalling storms. It also depends on the activity of the season, the more active, the less time they have to write them up. Also this page is now under my user page, for the time being do not update this page or revert my edits. It takes time to make an article that is useful to be put out in the main space. No, it shouldn't be. The assessment scale is not a grade of how long the article is. Hurricane Hernan (2008) is very poorly written, there's little content outside of a rough storm history, it's under-references, and the lead is too short. The article is still very poor. The entire "impact" and "preparations" section does not have a citation that backs up what is there. The prose is still horrible, far from being well-written. Ugh, please stop removing the citation needed tag on the Hernan article. You need a reference that says, explicitly, that Hernan caused increased waves along the coast of Mexico. More importantly, it seems like you are going in the wrong direction. Some of your edits have been borderline disruptive, and it seems like you are going down a bad path here. I am willing to provide help, if you are willing to accept it.
First and foremost, you need to learn that you do not own your articles. As such, please do not revert changes that other people have made. If there is an overwhelming consensus that an article you wrote should not exist, then please do not make things difficult by keep restoring the articles. Instead, try and figure out why they were merged, and see if anything else can be done. In most cases, you can expand the storm section in the season article, instead of creating a separate article.
Second, and equally as important, you need to learn to write better. This is an encyclopedia, not a blog or low-brow website. I'll repeat, this is an encyclopedia. We expect good writing, both in terms of spelling and grammar. A quick way to make your article 10 times better is to run it through a spell check, such as Microsoft Word.
Is Hernan salvageable? That depends on whether the rest of the project wants articles on storms that caused no impact (which is still not set in stone). However, what you can do is work on other, more impacting storms. Your article on the Mazatlán Hurricane was a good idea, since that storm was rather notable. The problem was that it wasn't nearly long enough. When making an article, you need a wide range of sources, not just one link; the project created a resources page just for this purpose. Additionally, you need to make sure the article is as comprehensive as possible. For storms that affected land, that means you need to cover every portion of the storm's impact. Compare Hernan to Hurricane John (2006), which was WP:FA. Notice how long it is, how much it covers, and how well-written it is. That isn't possible with Hernan, since it didn't affect land. It would be possible for a storm like Hurricane Juliette (2001), Hurricane Fausto (1996), or maybe even Hurricane Hernan (1996), since I know you like the name ;) Please, read what I said and think about it. Please don't make an article for Hernan in 1990. The Weather Channel reference is bad for Hernan, as it doesn't explicitly say that waves from Hernan reached the coast of Mexico. Once more, I don't really care about Hernan 08. Instead, please provide a response to the four paragraph plea I gave to you. If not, I'll assume you don't want help, and instead you wish to continue to be disruptive.
