Cut-and-paste moves[edit]

Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give U.S. National Indoor Tennis Championships a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into Memphis Open (tennis). This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut-and-paste-move repair holding pen. Thank you. A tag has been placed on Food Country USA requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited International Meeting of Communist and Workers Parties, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Romanian Socialist Party and Andrew Irving (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Hello, Zellfire999

Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username Jamez42 and it's nice to meet you :-)

I wanted to let you know that I’ve proposed an article that you started, 2019 Bolivian coup, for deletion because it meets one of the relevant criterion. The particular issue can be located in the notice, that is now visible at the top of the article.

If you wish to prevent the deletion:

  1. Edit the page
  2. Remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. Click the Publish changes button.

But, please remember to explain why you think the article should be kept on the article's talk page and improve the page to address the raised issues. Otherwise, it may be deleted later by other means.

If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Jamez42}}. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!

Bolivia RM[edit]

I noticed that there seems to be a minor technical error in the RM, where it first says

And then it says:

Everyone commenting seems to have accurately understood what was intended, but you may wish (if this is allowed) to delete or strikethrough the initial part (with an explanation), with the "→ ?", as it may be confusing for commenters or the eventual closer. — cmonghost 👻 (talk) 20:15, 27 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article Workers Party of Britain has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails GNG at the moment. WP:TOOSOON.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Navigation[edit]

Hallo, Thank you for creating Communist Party of Macedonia (1992). When you create an article like this with a "disambiguated" title, please make sure that the reader can find it from the basic name (ie Communist Party of Macedonia), by adding or expanding a hatnote, or adding the article to a disambiguation page. This helps the reader to find your article, and also reduces the chance of a future careless editor creating a duplicate article with a slightly different disambiguator. I've fixed this one. Thanks, and Happy Editing. PamD 10:02, 19 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
