With Inkscape, some specific methods are need to learn it :

  • 1. Reverse-engineering: open other SVGs, move each object (F1, then ctrl+click, then click and drag) ; 2. Use SVGs of other users to customize it and so create a new diagram :]

Some tools are especially important :

  • 1. the selector (F1), then click to select an object or (Ctrl+click) to select an object lock into a group ; 2. the node tool (F2) to edit paths ; 3. the Bézier curve tool (Shift+F6) to create paths, one click to start, double click or enter to finish it ; 4. The Fill and Stroke box (Ctrl+Shift+F), to customize colors.
