This has been overwritten without good license, except that the earliest version uploaded by Blankinfinity is claimed to be a non-free album cover now orphaned. Jusjih 00:37, 3 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Uploaded as cc-by-2.5, but the given source only licenses it as cc by-nc-nd/2.5 (non-commercial, no derivative works), which is not accepted as a free license in Wikipedia. High on a tree 04:36, 3 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Hmm. The page itself has a cc-by-sa-2.5 tag at the bottom of the right-hand menu. But under the photo itself it says cc-by-nc-nd-2.5. I'd say it should be deleted. – Quadell(talk) (random) 20:26, 4 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Unnecessary for image namespace (pdf is unnecessary). Additionally, it may be a copyrighted file (links back to http://merinews.com), and identity of uploader is far from ascertained. The Evil Spartan 06:54, 3 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Redundant non-free use - VoyagerStarship.jpg can suffice for this article as well. Ejfetters 08:54, 3 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Delete - this image does not depict a significant event in the series and (per nom) is made redundant by another image. Cumulus Clouds 04:48, 4 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Shock image of Jim Carrey's face photoshopped onto a naked man. Not sure what criteria it would be speedied under, so I'm listing it here instead. jonny-mt(t)(c)I'm on editor review! 13:44, 3 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
{{Db-vandalism}}, since the picture violates WP:BLP and a lot of other things (including my sensibilities). Cumulus Clouds 05:06, 4 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Speedy deleted per G3. Vandalism, copyvio, BLP etc --Kubigula(talk) 05:17, 4 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Unfree image of a living person (to quote from the license template used for this image:"Please note that our policy usually considers fair use images of living people that merely show what they look like to be replaceable by free-licensed images and unsuitable for the project"). As an excuse, it is stated that this "is a reclusive author"; this claim is totally unsubstantiated. On the contratry, here are several photos of him speaking at a fairly recent public gathering, Google Image search finds many more photos of him posing on public occasions. (Also the uploader commenting "fair use images of the author are impossible to fi[nd]" while uploading a fair use of the author, and "It is widely used across the internet, and so may be free use" does not demonstrate a good understanding of fair use and copyright issues.) No physical CD or album exists. This image is a marketing image for a digital download, and fair use does not cover this usage. Kww 19:11, 3 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Keep. So it's a virtual CD cover. Shouldn't we treat it the same way as if it were a real CD cover? It's being used to illustrate the song, so I'd say it's relevant and non-replaceable. – Quadell(talk) (random) 00:37, 9 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Kept as a result of no consensus. A Virtual CD may still fall under the cd-cover fair use guidelines of Wikipedia. A wider consensus and input should be sought to resolve this. MECU≈talk 15:40, 11 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
