In general, this page should be used primarily to solicit outside feedback regarding mergers (particularly those of a controversial nature), or assistance with difficult or complicated mergers. Brief replies may be posted here, but lengthy discussions should be confined to the talk pages of the articles involved. After articles are merged (or a consensus that the articles should not be merged is reached), please remove them from the list below.

• Category mergers should not be proposed here. Please see Wikipedia:Categories for discussion.
• For a complete list of articles with current merger proposals, please see Category:Articles to be merged.
• If you need help with renaming or moving, consult Wikipedia:How to rename (move) a page.
• For guidance on merging, consult the Integration WikiProject.

• Merge (multiple) articles for characters and other aspects of the Redwall series of books. There are dozens of individual character articles and lists of characters, most of which unreferenced, such as list of bird characters, etc... Trying to avoid deletion, but it really is way too much information, far exceeding encyclopedic content. Discussion for all articles and a listing of articles at Talk:Redwall#Merger proposal. • Merge Black Saturday massacre into 2008–2009_Israel–Gaza_conflict, it is a short article with little information, and I'm sure some in Israel would object to the title's neutrality.
• Merge WAMP with Comparison of WAMPs in WAMP, it is WAMP, thanks in advance — Neustradamus (✉) 00:44, 1 January 2009 (UTC)
• Merge Game Boy Wars 3 into Game Boy Wars; GBW3's page has most of the information on the entire series, whereas the main article has none. GBW3 does not need an article of it's own. Thanks. Elm-39 (talk) 14:34, 6 January 2009 (UTC)

• Merge 332d Fighter Group into 332d Air Expeditionary Wing. The 332d Fighter Group's history and lineage are officialy (according to the Air Force Historical Research Agency [1]) part of the 332d Air Expeditionary Wing. I believe that the special significance of the 332d Fighter Group is appropriatly captured in the Tuskegee Airman page and needn't be repearted in a unique 332d Fighter Group page. • Merge Philosophy of Nature with Nature (philosophy). Basically the latter evolved from an earlier version of what is the former and both come out of scraps split out of the Nature article. I'd suggest the newer and cleaner and better sourced text of Philosophy of Nature simply over-writes Nature (philosophy). • Merge History of African Americans in Augusta, Georgia into History of Augusta, Georgia. The first article has very little material, and most of that is generic and not specific to Augusta, Georgia. • Merge History of the Moscow Metro in to Moscow Metro - The former article is very short, far shorter than the history section of the latter article. I don't see that the topic merits a separate article as it currently stands. Grunners (talk) 16:59, 20 October 2008 (UTC)
• Merge "Khiytola" to Hiitola, "Lakhdenpokhya" to Lahdenpohja, "Loukhi" to Louhi (town), "Pitkyaranta" to Pitkäranta, "Suoyarvi" to Suoyarvi, "Vyartsilya" to Värtsilä (Russia) etc. Many names in the Republic of Karelia are in Finnish, eg. those above. Thus, in Russian they have been transliterated to "Khiytola", "Lakhdenpokhya", "Loukhi", "Pitkyaranta", "Suoyarvi" and "Vyartsilya". Although the Finnish towns are Hämeenlinna, Jyväskylä, Äänekoski etc, in Russian Хямеэнлинна, Ювяскюля and Яянекоски, nobody insist that they have to be in English Khyameenlinna, Yuvyaskyulya and Yayanekoski. The names Hiitola, Lahdenpohja, Louhi, Pitkäranta, Suojärvi, Värtsilä etc. are in Finnish language, because Finnish was the official language in the Karelian Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic 1923-40, 1956-91 and in the Karelo-Finnish Soviet Socialist Republic 1940-56. --WPK (talk) 18:21, 19 October 2008 (UTC)
• Merge Non-Trinitarian churches with Nontrinitarianism. The former article is worded in such a way that it would be difficult to merge, but the merger I feel is important. Much of the information either overlaps or is incorrectly located in the "churches" article, some information is factually inaccurate, and there are no citations, making it difficult to tell fact from fiction. • Merge List of countries by number of total troops with List of countries by number of active troops. There is no need for having to seperate articles on practically the same thing. • Merge IMAX Corporation into IMAX. A separate article for the corporation is (usually) not necessary when the corporation's name is the same as the name product or service. For example, McDonald's Corporation redirects to McDonald's. Not much can be said about the corporation that wouldn't fit in the article for the product itself. –Dream out loud (talk) 17:29, 26 September 2008 (UTC)
• Merge Wilderness Diarrhea into Travelers Diarrhea. Innumerable published articles demonstrate that these topics are widely discussed separately. Several editors disagree and seek to trim and merge Wilderness Diarrhea.Calamitybrook (talk) 21:17, 25 September 2008 (UTC)
• Merge Shockvertising and Shock advertising. They appear to be on the exact same topic just with different names. • Merge Samurang into Haidong Gumdo. Samurang is based on a fringe theory mostly purported by associations or individuals associated with Haidong Gumdo, and reliable sources on the subject is virtually non-existent. Cydevil38 (talk) 06:44, 22 September 2008 (UTC)
• Merge Sud-Est, Sud-Ouest, Sud Aviation and Nord Aviation into Aérospatiale. All articles are currently stubs with the "Sud" company articles containing duplicate history information. • Merge Anwar Ibrahim (politician) into Anwar Ibrahim. • The Ivan Milat and Backpacker Murders should be merged because they are about the same topic. • Merge Clone Wars Adventures Volume 1, Clone Wars Adventures Volume 2, Clone Wars Adventures Volume 3, Clone Wars Adventures Volume 4, Clone Wars Adventures Volume 5, Clone Wars Adventures Volume 6, Clone Wars Adventures Volume 7 into Clone Wars Adventures. • MEncoder is an unmaintained subproject of MPlayer and probably doesn't warrant its own article.

If the article is going to be about this whole line of incarnations it should probably be called something like "Palpung Tai Situpas" to distinguish from other lines also called "Tai Situpa". But there is no explanation at the discussion points that explains what the proposals are and what your reasons for the proposed merges are. You have pointed to old, different merge discussions, or to pages with no section set up for discussion with your rationale. As it is now, I don't see how people will understand what you are proposing or be able to discuss it, so unless more is added I don't anticipate there will be discussion. A situation where there is no discussion likely doesn't mean there is consensus for or against the proposal - it means they need more information to be able to discuss. Re merges involving Dunhams or Soetoros: what's being proposed basically is for these less-notable Dunham–Soetoro family members to be listed together in a new, single article. This can start as a list of the two families' members with each member covered in a sub-section. This would simply involve transferring each article to the new compound article. The article could be left this way, along with a short introduction for the whole article added; or at some point somebody could write a comprehensive introductory narrative that weaves in the histories of all the constituent members, concluding with a final section where all members, spouses and children are grouped together in a list.
