WikiProject Television Game Shows was formed to foster the creation, expansion and improvement of television game show-related articles. Parentage[edit]

Seeing as game shows cover multiple branches of entertainment, the WikiProject is therefore a sub-project of numerous collaborations:

Scope and goals[edit]

Mission statement[edit]

The goal of the Television Game Shows Wikiproject is to organize, clean, and improve game show information within a format that fits Wikipedia's notability procedures, as well as following the official policies and guidelines, up to the level of quality stressed in the Featured Article and Featured List guidelines.

Scope[edit]

Currently, this WikiProject covers the following items:

  1. Anyone affiliated with the concept of game shows, including the musicians, creators, casts, and crews of every game show.
  2. Anything featured on the Television portal.
  3. Anything located within a game show or game show-affiliated category, sub-category, list, article, stub, or template.

Goals and duties[edit]

Our goals and duties are as follows:

  1. Discussions and debates relating to the above items, including merges, citations, other references, image issues, splits, cleanup, formatting, and expansion.
  2. Reduce trivial information, speculation, point of view, and anything else that violates Wikipedia's fancruft guidelines.
  3. Avoid original research, verify claims by reliable sources, and follow notability guidelines of such claims.
  4. Monitoring all articles for violations of anything listed in the above three parts.
  5. Work toward making all game show-related articles and lists clean, organized, well-written, and accessible.
  6. Bring numerous articles to Good Article, Featured Article, and/or Featured List status.

Structure[edit]

  • In the instance that an article needs to be disambiguated because another article exists with the same name (as in the case of Duel), the article title should have (game show) added to it.
    • If it is the case that it is a game show that has versions in multiple country, then the title should be Game show title (nationality game show).

Statistics[edit]

Projects[edit]

  1. In the future, create a possible subproject on The Price Is Right (U.S. game show)

Tasks[edit]

  1. Currently organize the project
  2. Assess all unassessed articles
  3. Add the Game Show Project banner to every game show related article.
