Ruling: T. J. Day is allowed to participate in the voting if he remains inactive as an election staff member until the end of voting. If he remains inactive as an election staff member, he will be able to vote after the voting deadline by casting his vote on my talk page. Because he has listed himself as inactive election staff, he will not be able to participate in the tallying of the votes, even if one member becomes inactive. If both me and the other member of election staff become unresponsive when it is time to tally the votes, he will verify votes and determine the winner, after he has nullified his own votes. -zappa.jake (talk)
Hi - I'm happy to do either. Of course, if I'm on the election staff I won't be eligible to vote. I put my name down on both because I was the third person (two are needed) to put my name down as election staff; I thought I'd put my name down in case I was preferable to either of the others, whereas if not, I'd like to vote. If I had the choice between election staff and having a vote, I'd prefer to be election staff because at the moment I don't have any strong opinions upon which to base my vote. I apologise for wasting others' time by causing confusion. T. J. Day 04:16, 19 April 2006 (UTC)
