WikiCup 2015[edit]

Hi there; this is just a quick note to let you all know that the 2015 WikiCup will begin on January 1st. The WikiCup is an annual competition to encourage high-quality contributions to Wikipedia by adding a little friendly competition to editing. At the time of writing, more than fifty users have signed up to take part in the competition; interested parties, no matter their level of experience or their editing interests, are warmly invited to sign up. Questions are welcome on the WikiCup talk page. Thanks! Miyagawa (talk) 21:44, 29 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Did anyone notice we lost a Featured Portal director?[edit]

Cirt stopped editing in April 2016, about 8 months ago. That leaves OhanaUnited as sole FPo director, although as there has been no promotion or archiving of WP:FPOC nominations since March, nor any activity at WP:FPR either (there's one nomination there open for 20 months with no activity since June 2015!), there seems to be no need for any FPo directors since the featured portals process is dead. The portal peer review system is also dead. Shall we just tag the process as {{historical}}, like the featured sounds project, and move on? BencherliteTalk 00:55, 15 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

RfC on marking the featured portal process as historical[edit]
