What is the record number here? I see it is 737 right now. NoSeptember 10:24, 13 February 2007 (UTC)

I see as high as 773 now. Wow, that is quite high. --Cyde Weys 04:36, 17 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I am the cartoonist of Life of the kalahari and I'm ok with this article bing deleted. It isn't a very notable comic anyway. Thekittybomb 23:27, 24 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Bot[edit]

Is this page run by a bot? Otherwise it seems redundant to make the page and link it to the Category:Candidates for Speedy Deletion on that page. -23PatPeter* 20:18, 25 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Oh I see, nevermind I didn't think that it was updated, I didn't see some entries due to alphabetical order. -23PatPeter* 20:26, 25 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Erm...[edit]

May I ask how and why my personal sandbox ended up in this list? Thanks.—Ëzhiki (Igels Hérissonovich Ïzhakoff-Amursky) • (yo?); 13:24, 23 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

When a CSD tag is added to a template or any page that is transcluded into other pages, all the pages that it is transcluded into end up in the CSD category. Not to worry though, admins are smart enough to only delete the page intended. NoSeptember 19:54, 17 April 2007 (UTC)
Yeah, there's always between 2 and 5 pages listed in any CSD run that are absurdly tagged. Usually people with errors in their monobook.js script, sometimes people with a list of templates they've created on a user subpage. All show up, none are ever deleted... although I usually ask the person to reconsider generating the category on their page for sake of process (in reality, because when you're on a roll clearing a category, having one article left that defies both deletion and clean-up robs you of the satisfaction of leaving the place clean for two or three minutes!).   REDVERS  SЯEVDEЯ

Yitzhak Gruenbaum[edit]

Please read the discussion I've added to this Talk page and note the work I've commenced on the page itself. I hope this is sufficient grounds to remove Yitzhak Gruenbaum from your List of candidates for speedy deletion. If not, please advise. -- Thanks, Deborahjay 20:44, 26 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Enhanced list[edit]

Is it possible to generate a table like the following:

List of candidates for speedy deletion
Page Category Namespace
A Nightmare on Elm Street (video game) (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) A7 Main
File:M-03-2.jpg (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs) I1 Image

A sortable table would allow G10s and other high impact pages to be spotted easily. → AA (talk) — 11:10, 19 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Not sure if this would be easy for you (Cyde) to code/replicate, but I would absolutely love if the nominations were sorted like this by a table. It would be very useful. :-) As it is, this is a pretty good tool, especially for tracking the revision history of the category. JamieS93 01:44, 19 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Request for comments[edit]

First of all, if you use this tool and find it useful, leave a comment to that effect. If it turns out no one is using it, I'll stop it.

The alternative to having a page update it by bot is to use the <categorytree> syntax, as demonstrated here. It doesn't handle Image: pages so nicely though (which is a problem in CSD), and it's limited to 200 entries. Also, if anyone is using recent changes to see when the page is updated, this won't trigger that.

Or, if the features that can't be provided by <categorytree> are appreciated, I'll just leave it the way it is. --Cyde Weys 02:54, 3 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • I worked on the category when it was quite full, so having the number change on my watchlist every five minutes is very helpful.--chaser - t 19:51, 3 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • I at least use it and find it useful. I wouldn't object to the format being switched, not being into the image speedies myself, but I can't say that no one else would mind it. Really, as long as the overall functionality doesn't change towards articles, I'm happy. Cheers. --lifebaka (Talk - Contribs) 19:34, 4 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Cyde, please keep this tool. I have an old computer using internet with low bandwidth, when C:SD is full, it is pretty problematic working there, so I prefer using this list because it is more light. Cheers. Carlosguitar (Yes Executor?) 20:25, 20 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
  • Cyde, I use this (very infrequently as I'm not around much lately) and I have a recommended tools list in my userspace that links to User:Malinaccier who further links here. When I have time to work CSDs this is one of the most convenient places to go. Changes would be fine.--Doug.(talk contribs) 16:27, 6 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • Not an admin, but isn't there already a category/several categories for just listing CSD pages???? ηoian ‡orever ηew ‡rontiers 01:41, 12 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Obsolete Statistical Procedures[edit]

Please note the "hangon" tag at the category for "obsolete statistical procedures" and the discussion on the TALK page. Kiefer.Wolfowitz (talk) 21:33, 11 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Choseng Trungpa[edit]

Hi there Cyde. Just to let you know that the Hangon tag has been removed (by another, more experienced, user than I - see Users' reasons here User_talk:Fountain_Posters#Choseng_Trungpa). Therefore please consider that the hangon is still in place (please see Talk:Choseng_Trungpa for the reasons for my objection. Therefore as Cydebot is a bit redundant - perhaps you can lift the deletion candidacy for Choseng Trungpa manually yourself? Best wishes, Fountain Posters (talk) 19:27, 1 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Many thanks for your action/response. Best wishes, Fountain Posters (talk) 10:16, 5 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
