Is Stephanie Hodge notable enough to warrant her own page? I can't see there existing a substantial piece of work or smaller mutilple sources existing to satisfy WP:ATT. Ocatecir Talk 00:09, 2 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I seem to recall the broken back getting some press... but if the sources aren't out there you could try prodding it. Deiz talk 02:55, 2 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Google only turned up a brief mention by Johnny Knoxville in an interview. Lexis Nexis and Proquest did not turn up any news stories for her, only a comedienne by the same name. I don't really want to delete it myself, I think her role in Jackass's development might be notable (Knoxville said after she was injured they felt really bad and decided no girls in the stunts). I would rather beef it up, its just the web sources seem scarce. Hopefully more will turn up eventually. Ocatecir Talk 03:56, 2 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I'd say it should be kept, obviously she played a part in the show and I too remember reading about her broken back due to one of the stunts, plus you see her a couple of times as part of the Jackass crew in the "We Want Fun" Andrew WK video. Sure it's not a reason in itself but to me it shows she was still considered part of the crew. Stuey 182 01:27, 9 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
My final verdict in pure wiki-fallacy is that if the Rick Kosick article is kept, so too shall Stephanie Hodge. Should one be deleted I will personally prod the other. Ocatecir Talk 08:20, 13 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
  • if anyone cares,I just found this current, somewhat in-depth article all about Stephanie Hodge.. I notice there is no wiki page about her (the only one I saw was for a stand-up comedienne of the same name) and I'm not sure if she's notable enough to even have a wiki article (after reading the above section, it seems as if there was once one, but other than the above convo, I didn't see any other evidence of one ever existing) but thought I would post the link anyways, just for those who may be interested http://www.asylum.com/2010/10/25/stephanie-hodge-jackass-accident/

Just expanded the Manny Puig artical if anyone can get a better picture then i would be greatful mines really pixilated King Alaric 11:37, 2 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your efforts. I did notice, however, that you sourced most of your information from Myspace and that a lot of it seems to be speculative or original research. I won't touch it right now to give you a chance to properly cite it, but please read wikipedia's standards of verifiability for an understanding of wikipedia's requirements for citations and sources. Thanks again, Ocatecir Talk 12:58, 22 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

OK i'll look through the artical again and try to find some other places to send references to insted of myspace. The reason i linked it to myspace was mainly because the official sites said nothing, and Manny wrote the myspace himself so it should be correct. King Alaric 11:37, 2 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The problem with myspace is that there are a large number of fake profiles out there, so it is difficult to verify it is actually the subject writing it. Instances come to mind where articles have cited myspace yet the stars have repeatedly said they don't have a myspace, such as Bam Margera and Howard Stern. Ehren McGhehey[edit]

Just expaned and merged trivia King Alaric 19:42, 3 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I just started the Frank Carney page, if some of you would like to help it along.Tstrobaugh 18:49, 8 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Interesting, never heard of Halfway House Christmas. What does this have to do with Jackass, though? Ocatecir Talk 18:53, 8 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Did you read the article? it's very short. "Also appearing in this movie are Ryan Dunn and Rake Yohn, both of Jackass fame." The template for WikiProject Jackass says:"This Jackass-related article is part of a WikiProject to improve the English Wikipedia's coverage of articles related to Jackass, encompassing the TV series, movies, side projects, participants and subculture". I thought this article qualified under the above assumption.Tstrobaugh 19:29, 8 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I did read the article, but I think a biography of a producer of a movie that doesn't even have an article in which two of the lesser contributors appeared in is quite a bit of a stretch for this wikiproject. Ocatecir Talk 01:29, 9 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
So one of your criticisms is that:"biography of a producer of a movie that doesn't even have an article"? Well thanks for addressing my original post finally, too bad you don't want to help though. Keep up the criticism without helping out, it's what makes wikipedia so special. That and that everyone has an opinion, and you know what that's like.Tstrobaugh 12:26, 9 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
My main criticism is that this has nothing to do with Jackass, so adding it to a Wikiproject is not appropriate. And yes, you're right, I have no inclination to help an article I'm not even sure crosses Wikipedia's notability threshold. Some more sources beyond a high school alumni site are going to need to be added if it has a shot at lasting.Ocatecir Talk 16:54, 9 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Roger Alan Wade[edit]

Just a quick question i was wondering if Roger Alan Wade artical should be included in the Jackass project what with him being Knoxvilles cousin and his music featuring on Jackass as well as Wildboyz User: King Alaric

WikiProject Media franchises[edit]

Dear WikiProject Jackass participants...WikiProject Media franchises needs some help from other projects which are similar. Media franchises' scope deals primarily with the coordination of articles within the hundreds if not thousands of media franchises which exist. Sometimes a franchise might just need color coordination of the various templates used; it could mean creating an article for the franchise as a jump off point for the children of it; or the creation of a new templating system for media franchise articles. The project primarily focuses on multimedia franchises. It would be great if some of this project's participants would come over and help the project get back on solid footing. Also, if you know of similar projects which have not received this, let Lady Aleena (talk · contribs) know. Please come and take a look at the project and see if you wish to lend a hand. You can sign up here if you wish. Thank you. LA @ 21:36, 14 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Franchise naming convention discussion at WikiProject Media franchises[edit]

Dear WikiProject Jackass participants...WikiProject Media franchises is currently discussing a naming convention for franchise articles. Since this may affect one or more articles in your project, we would like to get the opinions of all related projects before implimenting any sweeping changes. Please come and help us decide. Thanks! Leaflet for Wikiproject Jackass at Wikimania 2014[edit]

Hi all,

My name is Adi Khajuria and I am helping out with Wikimania 2014 in London.

One of our initiatives is to create leaflets to increase the discoverability of various wikimedia projects, and showcase the breadth of activity within wikimedia. Any kind of project can have a physical paper leaflet designed - for free - as a tool to help recruit new contributors. These leaflets will be printed at Wikimania 2014, and the designs can be re-used in the future at other events and locations.

This is particularly aimed at highlighting less discoverable but successful projects, e.g:

• Active Wikiprojects: Wikiproject Medicine, WikiProject Video Games, Wikiproject Film

• Tech projects/Tools, which may be looking for either users or developers.

• Less known major projects: Wikinews, Wikidata, Wikivoyage, etc.

• Wiki Loves Parliaments, Wiki Loves Monuments, Wiki Loves ____

• Wikimedia thematic organisations, Wikiwomen’s Collaborative, The Signpost

The deadline for submissions is 1st July 2014

For more information or to sign up for one for your project, go to:

Comment on the WikiProject X proposal[edit]

Hello there! As you may already know, most WikiProjects here on Wikipedia struggle to stay active after they've been founded. I believe there is a lot of potential for WikiProjects to facilitate collaboration across subject areas, so I have submitted a grant proposal with the Wikimedia Foundation for the "WikiProject X" project. WikiProject X will study what makes WikiProjects succeed in retaining editors and then design a prototype WikiProject system that will recruit contributors to WikiProjects and help them run effectively. Please review the proposal here and leave feedback. If you have any questions, you can ask on the proposal page or leave a message on my talk page. Thank you for your time! (Also, sorry about the posting mistake earlier. If someone already moved my message to the talk page, feel free to remove this posting.) Harej (talk) 22:47, 1 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

WikiProject X is live![edit]

Hello everyone!

You may have received a message from me earlier asking you to comment on my WikiProject X proposal. The good news is that WikiProject X is now live! In our first phase, we are focusing on research. At this time, we are looking for people to share their experiences with WikiProjects: good, bad, or neutral. We are also looking for WikiProjects that may be interested in trying out new tools and layouts that will make participating easier and projects easier to maintain. If you or your WikiProject are interested, check us out! Note that this is an opt-in program; no WikiProject will be required to change anything against its wishes. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you!

Note: To receive additional notifications about WikiProject X on this talk page, please add this page to Wikipedia:WikiProject X/Newsletter. Otherwise, this will be the last notification sent about WikiProject X.
