The Obelisk[edit]

Via recent edits to List of 2015 albums, I've been introduced to a website called The Obelisk. The problem is that I immediately found its about page which shows that it is obviously a one-author blog (said author is also the only byline I could find on any post) which violates our policy on self-published sources. That led me to an even greater issue, which is that this website is used as a source on about 200 pages, and that's clearly no good. Given just how many pages that compromises, it'll be a significant undertaking to replace/remove them all. So I figured I should leave a notice here about it in case anyone is interested in taking up the task, because I don't feel I have the patience to handle it all myself. Warring by WP:COI accounts at Witchfynde[edit]

Dropping this here, before going to COI, ANI or page protection noticeboards. There appear to be WP:OWNERSHIP issues, with a few accounts trying to tell their contrasting and poorly sourced versions. More eyes and assistance appreciated. Thanks. 2601:19E:4180:6D50:65F5:930C:B0B2:CD63 (talk) 22:32, 10 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Dispute about the term underground for NWOBHM bands[edit]

A dispute arose on Talk:New wave of British heavy metal about the use of the term underground associated with a few British bands, which had limited notoriety and chart success during the New wave of British heavy metal of the 80s. Comments and contributions to the stalled debate would be much appreciated. Lewismaster (talk) 19:35, 24 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Creation of the Phantom Elite draft[edit]

Hello everyone, I created the Draft:Phantom Elite article as my first major contribution to Wikipedia, therefoe I am not yet completely familiar with the rules. I just submitted the article for review, I would appreciate any feedback. Also, I wanted to add it to "Articles for creation" on the Wikipedia: WikiProject Metal page but I did not find how to do it (and if I should do it). I will gladly welcome any feedback or advice. Whitesnake[edit]

Needed opinion at Talk:Whitesnake#Lead and else about mentioning "Love Ain't No Stranger" in the lead, and at Talk:Whitesnake#Lead and else#Quote about including a quote/quote box about 2003 live performance. Miki Filigranski (talk) 09:26, 21 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Rush (band) regarding end of band[edit]

There is a discussion on the article's talk page regarding the band either ending in 2015 or 2018. Some opinions would be helpful to see if a full consensus can be given. The topic is Talk:Rush (band)#Lifeson confirming 2015 end. Thanks. HorrorLover555 (talk) 20:44, 6 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Notability of the band Ottto[edit]

Hi, I've come across some coverage of this band, but since I'm not familir with the sources and how they're regarded by the project (due to being new to the genre) I'm unsure of if it would be worth it to try to make an article for them. Here is some of the articles I've found that cover the band (including one of their albums): BlabberMouth 1, BlabberMouth 2, MetalInjection, JuiceMagazine, LoudWire, MetalCentral, MetalTrenches, RevolverMagazine, MetalSucks, GuitarWorld, Dallas Observer, San Antonio Current, New Noise Magazine. ★Trekker (talk) 22:49, 22 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, there's a list of music reliable sources at Wikipedia:WikiProject Albums/Sources. The newspaper sources are generally reliable so can be used despite not being on the list, regards Atlantic306 (talk) 21:45, 23 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
