Creation of the SF WikiProject[edit]

I have created the Superleague Formula WikiProject because I think it is time that it got one. More well known drivers are entering the series. The Superleague Formula pages are in good shape (bar the race reports which I'll fix soon) and I don't see why it is not worthy of a WikiProject. I know a couple of users will state that it is not popular or big enough - and that other series like the World Touring Car Championship don't have one but it certainly is popular enough. The A1GP WikiProject was created before the series even started, and it is up to users to create the WTCC Project (or not as it seems).--Roadblocker (talk) 14:42, 9 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Comment on the WikiProject X proposal[edit]

Hello there! As you may already know, most WikiProjects here on Wikipedia struggle to stay active after they've been founded. I believe there is a lot of potential for WikiProjects to facilitate collaboration across subject areas, so I have submitted a grant proposal with the Wikimedia Foundation for the "WikiProject X" project. WikiProject X will study what makes WikiProjects succeed in retaining editors and then design a prototype WikiProject system that will recruit contributors to WikiProjects and help them run effectively. Please review the proposal here and leave feedback. If you have any questions, you can ask on the proposal page or leave a message on my talk page. Thank you for your time! (Also, sorry about the posting mistake earlier. If someone already moved my message to the talk page, feel free to remove this posting.) Harej (talk) 22:48, 1 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

WikiProject X is live![edit]

Hello everyone!

You may have received a message from me earlier asking you to comment on my WikiProject X proposal. The good news is that WikiProject X is now live! In our first phase, we are focusing on research. At this time, we are looking for people to share their experiences with WikiProjects: good, bad, or neutral. We are also looking for WikiProjects that may be interested in trying out new tools and layouts that will make participating easier and projects easier to maintain. If you or your WikiProject are interested, check us out! Note that this is an opt-in program; no WikiProject will be required to change anything against its wishes. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you!

Note: To receive additional notifications about WikiProject X on this talk page, please add this page to Wikipedia:WikiProject X/Newsletter. Otherwise, this will be the last notification sent about WikiProject X.

Wikipedia:WikiProject Superleague FormulaWikipedia:WikiProject Motorsport/taskforce/Superleague Formula – I suggest that WP:WikiProject Superleague Formula be merged to WP:WikiProject Motorsport as a task force, cine the Superleague Formula racing circuit has been dead since 2011, and the WikiProject already documented all significant races teams and drivers from when the series was active, as the WikiProject existed during that time (series founded 2008, WPP founded 2009). The WikiProject has been inactive for many years (2012), so per other inactive WikiProjects, it should be merged as a taskforce to the greater WikiProject; as this is a topic with little chance of revival -- 65.94.169.56 (talk) 05:50, 22 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Survey[edit]

Feel free to state your position on the renaming proposal by beginning a new line in this section with *'''Support''' or *'''Oppose''', then sign your comment with ~~~~. Since polling is not a substitute for discussion, please explain your reasons, taking into account Wikipedia's policy on article titles.
  • Support I am the nominator -- 65.94.169.56 (talk) 05:51, 22 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support There is no need in the abandoned separate WikiProject for a disestablished series, it should be a part of the WP:MOTOR as a task force. Corvus tristis (talk) 06:21, 22 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
