Xiangtan (Chinese: 湘潭; pinyin: Xiāngtán) is a city located in the center of Hunan province, China. It is part of the "ChangZhuTan Golden Triangle" (comprising the cities of Changsha, Zhuzhou and Xiangtan).

The predominant spoken language of the area is Xiang Chinese.
