The Balasan (also: Sărăceaua) is a left tributary of the Danube in Romania.[1][2] It flows into the Danube between Negoi and Bistrețu Nou.[3] Its length is 51 km (32 mi) and its basin size is 890 km2 (340 sq mi).[2]
