I found another foreigner who received a pardon in Laos. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/archive-laonews/message/2029 and http://www.usp.com.au/fpss/security_report002b.html His name is Jens Nielsen. I'm trying to source the pardon details. I contacted the Danish Ambassador and he confirmed that Mr. Nielsen was detained in Laos and later Pardoned but couldn't give me any further details due to the Privacy Act.
