EARLY LIFE AND EDUCATION

Brandon Ross Clark was born on January 20, 1987 at Methodist Hospital in Houston Texas to Darryl Clark, a professional football player, and Ulonda Clark, a nurse. Brandon's younger brother Benjamin was born 4 years later. His family is African-American and in his early years spent his childhood in the Wesley Chapel A.M.E. church where he used to sing in the choir.

When Brandon was 7 years his parents divorced. Brandon described it as "One of the most painful experiences I ever encountered when I was young. I was hurt because I couldnt see my father everyday."

He got into sports at a young age. His first sport was baseball for the local Houston YMCA team. His trials with baseball led him into Basketball at the age of 8. "I was good at it so I started playing it." he said. "Basketball was very important in my childhood because it taught me the importance of hard work, determination, and it kept me out of trouble." "Hakeem Olajuwon and Scottie Pippen were my two favorite basketball players when i was a kid and my little brother and i would watch them on local TV every night when we would go to bed."

When Brandon was in 3rd grade he was suspended for slapping a classmate for stepping on his shoes. "I was so angry because those shoes were special to me because my dad bought them for me. We didn't have much money but he taught me how to tie my shoes and my dad bought me those shoes. I felt disrespected." "My father taught me a lesson that day that people will always try to disrespect you, just ignore them and focus on your succees."

Brandon played basketball from 4rth grade all the way to senior year of high school when he was cut from the varsity basketball team. "I just wasn't tall enough or good enough to play varsity. But I still was thankful for all the years I played sports. It created some of the most memorable memories of my childhood."

COLLEGE YEARS

Brandon R. Clark attended Baylor University in Waco, Texas where he would later obtain his college degree.

He remembers both studying and partying alot. "I didnt get into trouble in college, but i did secretly party alot and my parents never knew. Lol. I would call my mother and wish her goodnight and immediately head for the local clubs with the rest of my college friends"

Brandon continues, "Baylor is a religious university and alot of people think we just study, read a Bible and go home. NOPE! We party hard lol. At least we did from time to time."

In college Brandon says he would get inspired by taking drives to nice luxury neighborhoods in the area and it was the big homes that inspired him to be rich.

"I would just cruise by and look at big mansions. Thats when i knew i wanted to be rich. I just needed to find a way."

Often Brandon would visit with Geralyn Stephens in college, who would later go on to become his first wife. "Geralyn has always been a big part of my life from Highschool, college, into the early years of my adulthood, she was always special to me. We would talk on the phone every night, that is how we maintained our long distance relationship. We visited each other periodically throughout the semester and all summer long between semesters because we were both from Houston."

During the Financial crisis of 2008, even though Brandon was still in college, he started trading small stocks. "I started trading stocks mainly as a hobby and then i just kind of fell in love with trading and the idea of being an investor. Those years at Baylor opened my mind to finance even though i was already late in my college education. I fell in love with trading, investing during the early part of my senior year of college."

Brandon graduated from Baylor University in 2009.

STRUGGLES AFTER COLLEGE

In wake of the financial crisis of 2008, Brandon graduated during the toughest time for the American economy in decades.

"I remember my wife at the time and I both broke and bored and tried to start our own business but it didn't work. Times were very tough then."

Brandon later highlights the fallout he had with his family around this time as well. His mother kicked him out of the house after college during the recession. "it was very painful for me to go through that. I had no place to go. I had to quickly find a job and it was tough."

Around this time his mother had to place a restraining order on his father. And there would later be reports that his younger brother started to have battles with drug addiction.

His wife at the time also developed acute battles with Epilepsy. A lifetime condition in her case.

"My whole world was falling apart in between 2009 and 2012. Everything was going in the wrong direction. My family was falling apart, my wife and best friend had a health condition I couldn't do anything about because I had no money. I felt helpless."

He later found a quick job at Walmart and was stocking boxes in the warehouse in 2010. "I remember working in the warehouse moving boxes and there was a moment I just broke down and cried. It was midnight and no one was around. Here i was a Baylor graduate and broke while stocking boxes at Wal Mart. I was hurt. I felt like my life was going to be a failure."

Because Brandon was kicked out during the recession while working at Wal Mart, he became homeless and lost contact with most of his friends. His wife at the time allowed him to move in with her and her mother in their home.

"Geralyn saved me." Brandon would later say. "When my family failed, and when I didn't even believe in myself, I had no food and nowhere to live. Geralyn saved me. She was the only one still consistently in my life. If I didn't have Geralyn I don't think I would of came out of that dark time in my life. She saved me."

Brandon remembers listening to Rick Ross alot during that time. "Rick Ross made a song named "Blowing Money Fast (B.M.F.) during those days. I remember just listening to that song over and over. It inspired me to keep that "hustlers" spirit and to keep striving for success. I didnt know how I was going to make it but that song kept me motivated. To be self made and to keep pushing, keep focused because like Ross said in his lyrics: "Real Niggas get money from the fucking start."

Later Brandon would start working as a designer in the engineering field of Oil and Gas from a recommendation his friend made about the industry. "I just needed a job. It paid well but it still didnt get me to the level of being rich. I always wanted to be rich and in the back of my mind i still couldn't forget this calling my soul had to strive for more. I remember sitting at my engineering cubicles and thinking that there HAS to be more for me than just doing engineering drawings and going home everyday with a good paycheck. Its like my soul just kept calling me to strive for more. I still deep down inside wanted to be a rich Stock trader/investor. That was my true calling."
