The Hupeh Military Government of the Republic of China was established in Wuchang, Hupeh Province on October 11, 1911 after the success of the Wuchang Uprising. The Hupeh Military Government of the Republic of China is not only the first provincial military government of the Republic of China, but also the earliest regime in history to take the "Republic of China" as the national name. At the same time, it acts as the responsibility of the central military government. In the past two months later, it has also played the role of the military government of the Republic of China.
