Street Fighter is an upcoming American action film based on Capcom's video game series of the same name, and serves as a reboot to its live-action films.

Production[edit]

In April 2023, Legendary Entertainment purchased the live-action film and television rights to the Street Fighter video game franchise from Capcom, and was in development on the movie; it would be the third live-action film based on the games following Street Fighter (1994) and Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li (2009).[1] That same month, brothers Danny and Michael Philippou were in talks to direct the film.[2] In June 2024, Danny and Michael Philippou were no longer attached to direct the film.[3]
