Cast[edit]

Production[edit]

In June 2022, during a Q&A for the 2022 Tribeca Film Festival, Adam McKay announced that he was working on a screenplay about "dirty money".[1] McKay spoke about the genre of the film being "a comedy [...] blended with drama, but [...] would overall call it a comedy".[1][2] The project would be further detailed in March 2023, now titled Average Height, Average Build, and the cast including Robert Pattinson, Amy Adams, Robert Downey Jr., Forest Whitaker and Danielle Deadwyler announced, with Pattinson as the serial killer, Adams as the lobbyist, and Downey Jr. as a cop investigating the murders.[3]

Filming was expected to begin in late summer or early fall 2023 in Boston.[4] However, it would be announced in December that McKay had dropped out of the project, prompting Netflix to decide to not move forward on producing it.[5]

Release[edit]

Netflix acquired the rights to the film in April 2023.[6]
