Name

I don't think it's particularly necessary to have the clutter of his full given name, and a "also know as" and his normal day to day name. Question is, how to fix it? I'm thinking: putting his full name first, and day to day name in parenthesis after, or just use his full name and skip the day to day name. I vote for just his full name.

Full name alone seems right to me. I like to see "more commonly known as" when it isn't clear that the same person uses both names (Example: "Abadin Tadia Tjoessoep, more commonly known as Sheikh Yusuf or Sheik Joseph") but I think we all kvow that David and Dave are forms of the same name. 2600:1700:D0A0:21B0:5999:33F0:410C:E5C2 (talk) 15:40, 23 July 2022 (UTC)

What is Support.com and Xeriton?

The article says "In December 2009, Xeriton Corporation was sold to Support.com for $8.5 million.[18]". Does does not mention what either of those companies has to do with Dave Plummer. Xeriton began as SoftwareOnline and changed in named in the mid-2Ks. It was Plummer's software company that he owned and ultimately sold to Support.com (NASDAQ:SPRT) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 73.97.237.1 (talk) 18:33, 26 August 2023 (UTC)

That appears to be incorrect. According to [1] Plummer became CEO of Xeriton in 2009. The settlement with the Washington State Attorney General’s Office was in 2006. The lawsuit was indeed initiated by the Washinton State Attorney Office on behalf of Washinton State in King County Court, WA as indicated by the 1st citation. The amount was ordered to be settled by the court (as indicated by the press release documents). The press release documents goes into detail on the purpose of the lawsuit (including the misleading popups, and scam imvolving fake registry cleaners, fake antimalware, fake "memory cleaners", etc, which has been proven to have existed, and can be viewed using wayback machine (site does require flash to fully load tho)) and also on the details of the cost of settlement. It also include the signatures of the parties involved in the lawsuit. Dave Plummer himself later confirmed of his ownership of the domain, and the softwares, and also acknowledged the lawsuit in Twitter/X, but misrepresented the details of it.

Apparently, he also owned another company called "Sharewareonline LLC" as well in the past (circa 2003-2006), which made similar softwares as "Softwareonline LLC" (which came in later after "Sharewareonline LLC") and also used similar tactics.

None of the above has the slightest relation to your edit request, which was to change the company name from SoftwareOnline.com to SoftwareOnline LLC. Adding a reference to Yet Another Company Name (Sharewareonline LLC) didn't help.
