Article name

[edit]

The name of this article is Ice Poseidon 2, but it should be just 'Ice Poseidon'. (This is because the article 'Ice Poseidon' was deleted by speedy deletion and this is the continuation of the deleted article.) However, I cannot move it. If someone else can that would be great.(if you are revfiewing for AfC if you decide to create the article can you create it as 'Ice Poseidon' not 'Ice Poseidon 2')

This has been done, thanks. FeWorld (talk) 20:15, 26 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Is this a joke?

[edit]

Why does this page exist?

This person is irrelevant.

-Well, guess who wrote this article. The choice of words is hagiographic, you are indeed right it´s irrelevant. The needy little kid probably spent a whole day writing this about himself. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A02:8070:638E:2F00:1B2:C80B:14AE:684 (talk) 09:08, 28 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Recommend for deletion. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.66.110.3 (talk) 01:46, 22 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

This article was approved as being notable during its article for creation stage and the subject has widespread and significant coverage. Definitely not a joke. FeWorld (talk) 23:15, 24 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Delete previously via afd, and several times via speedy. Based on the fact the afd was over a year ago and an admin removed the move/create protections before this was recreated a G4 wouldn't be valid anymore. Another deletion discussion would need to occur in order for it to be deleted. Additional sources are out there since the last discussion for people to review now. The Battle of Horseshoe Bay The most infamous incident to date of the Ice Poseidon Show. After lying to the purple army about his breakup with Caroline Burt weaponized autism was deployed and uncovered the truth. Confronted by the truth Ice Poseidon decided to berate and humiliate Caroline. Although Caroline was hated by the purple army this was seen low and psychopathic. The purple army suffered heavy losses and will likely never regain its former glory. E rexxx (talk) 16:47, 12 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. Please also explain why this would be a noteworthy addition to this encyclopedia article. ‑‑ElHef (Meep?) 17:16, 12 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Not running a Ponzi scheme

[edit]

I had not heard of this guy until I just found out that he is creating a company that some commentators have claimed is a Ponzi/pyramid scheme. Ice Poseidon denies this allegation.

Should we include this matter in the article? Axl ¤ [Talk] 17:47, 28 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I have added a brief statement. Axl ¤ [Talk] 14:49, 20 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Removed parts as the sources suggest multiple explanations - rumors - and there has been no follow up so it seems safe to say it was false or at least does not have enough coverage or certainty to state this. FeWorld (talk) 19:59, 3 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

The article says that his fan base is controversial "due to their political incorrectness." This is a slanted phrase that makes it sound like the complaints are unfounded and/or based on oversensitivity. In fact, the linked article's main specific complaint is that many in his community use racial slurs, so perhaps "due to their racism" would be more appropriate and specific. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 108.20.205.120 (talk) 03:52, 6 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Trying to make an edit to change the image on the page. It's very bad picture and doesn't represent the person at all. Ralph121245 (talk) 18:24, 8 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Crypto scam claim is unconfirmed

[edit]

The article used as source for the crypto scam claim was taken down by the original author because it was based on random twitter speculation. This section should be removed from the page until a solid source is available. — Preceding unsigned comment added by BlackFridayRawks (talkcontribs)

Doesn't seem to be speculation in my view given the article is from a reliable source used elsewhere on this article and gives direct quotes from the subject with respect to the point on his intentions. Not related to twitter speculation at all. FeWorld (talk) 22:43, 19 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Ice Poseidon is an entertainer and says a lot of things for shock value. There is no reliable source that this is a scam and his joke is being taken out of context. Also you didn't address why the article was taken down in the first place which caused you to use an archived link. BlackFridayRawks (talk) 00:08, 22 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Ice Poseidon has admitted to scamming his followers, though he doesn't like saying it like that since it makes him sound like the bad guy. It wasn't until after he was confronted publically that he made any effort to reverse his rugging the coin, and even then he only returned a small portion of the money to some of his investors leaving most of them holding the bag. He knew it was a scam, and admits it-- though he weasels out of being direct and honest about the grift. He doesn't want to seem like the bad guy, so he goes out of his way to avoid directly saying that he stole money from his young and uneducated fanbase. Autism

[edit]

The subject of the article is not autistic. The article cited states "The callers say that they are Paul Denino’s father or his mother and they urgently need to talk to their son, who is autistic". Considering the context of the article, this is clearly an offensive joke, and should not be taken to mean he is actually autistic — Preceding unsigned comment added by Verdulo1887 (talkcontribs) 01:30, 1 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Agree, have removed this.FeWorld (talk) 20:20, 1 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

well, I had truly believed that the subject of this article had not had autism, however, I have found a clip of his past live brodcast where he had admitted to his fanbase that he was diagnosed with Asperger's. I would look into this before writing it off as just an offensive joke — Preceding unsigned comment added by SleepyWaterCow (talkcontribs) 22:32, 29 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Recommend putting “and known cryptocurrency scammer” in the first paragraph of his description. Outside of a small gaming community, he is most famous for playing a leading role in an incredibly cruel and illegal cryptocurrency scam, which is noted in this Wikipedia page. Excluding that information from the opening paragraph is like excluding the fact George Washington was the first President of the United States from the top of his wiki page. 70.108.19.211 (talk) 20:59, 10 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Please change paragraph 1 to paragraph 2.

1. He is best known for his IRL streams, which he describes as "life streaming". Rolling Stone named Denino as a "pioneer 'life streamer'."

Under "CxCoin cryptocurrency scamming"

Between "In January 2022, Paul admitted to scamming over $500k from his fans in a pump and dump crypto scheme by removing funds from the liquidity pool as well as withdrawing from the pre-sale and marketing wallet."

And "He later denied the project was a scam arguing he did not advertise the project to casual fans and defended his withdrawals from the liquidity pool."

Add: "In a recorded conversation with youtuber Coffeezilla, Paul stated that he personally earned about $300k from the project and said: "I could give the money back. It is within my power, but I'm going to look out for myself and not do that.""

Category Add

[edit]

I think him being in the first TagTeam boxing match on misfits is somewhat significant. Can someone add him to (Category:YouTube boxers)? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 150.250.82.175 (talk) 23:36, 4 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Arrest

[edit]

IP's June 2023 arrest in Thailand will probably end up warranting a new section. In the meantime I think we should wait until the matter is adjudicated to add details, or at least until IP finds out if can leave the country. So I trimmed a poorly-written graph and added the most reliable source I could find. Hopefully it will be widely reported in future. Matuko (talk) 23:30, 7 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
