Abstract: Print shows Union troops attacking Confederate fortifications in Petersburg, Virginia, on the day before Richmond fell to Union control. Physical description: 1 print : chromolithograph.

Notes: The 109th New York Infantry was also known as the Binghamton Regiment. It served in the 1st Brigade, 1st Division, 9th Corps, Army of the Potomac. The troops participated in the Siege of Petersburg.; Title from item.; Andrew McCallum, 1821-1902, was a sketch artist for Frank Leslie's Illustrated Magazine, who covered the Siege of Petersburg.; Entered according to Act of Congress A.D. 1865 by Andrew McCullum [sic] in the Clerk's Office of the District Court of the State of Maryland.; lith. by E. Sachse & Co. Baltimore.
