Description

Photograph showing unassembled shell, No. 106 Mk II instantaneous percussion fuze made in August 1917 and fuze safety cap, for British QF 18-pounder field gun.
Note 1 : The shell has been fired, indicated by grooves in driving band around base of shell.
Note 2 : This HE shell would originally have been painted yellow.
