English: This is a Soap Box Derby racer designed, built and piloted by James E. Jackson, who claimed the checker flag at the Lima, Ohio local race in 1971, representing his hometown at the All-American Nationals in Akron, OH later that summer. Jimmy placed 2nd that day in a field of 272 boys. The extant car was donated by Mr. Jackson to the Allen County Museum and Historical Society in 1973, and was part of an exhibit hosted by them on Derby cars in 2013.
