The Plymouth was introduced in 1928, Chryslers lowest priced car. In 1971, four different size cars were available;
The compact A body Valiant 4 door Sedan, 2 door Valiant Scamp and 2 door Duster.
The Intermediate B body Satellite, GTX and Road Runner (same platform as the Dodge Coronet, Super Bee and Charger)
And the full size C body Fury I, II, III Sport and Custom.
Barracudas were built from 1964-74. The first generation built on the Valiant A body platform, the 1970-74 second generation, built on the new E body 'Pony' car platform. Sharing this platform was the Dodge Challenger. The 1971 facelift was the only year the Barracuda had 4 headlights. Models available in 1971 were;
The base Barracuda, with 145hp 225 Slant 6, 230hp 318 V8 or 275hp 340 V8 (2 door Hardtop or Convertible)
The luxury Gran Coupe, also 318 (2 door Hardtop)
The performance car was called the Cuda, available with 330hp 383 Magnum, 375hp 440ci 4-barrel Super Commando, 390hp 440 6-barrel Super Commando Six Pak, and 425hp 426ci Hemi. (2 door Hardtop or Convertible)
This car also has the optional Shaker Hood, option N96
