Summary

Description
English: My brother's neighbor created planted this rain garden in 2006 to catch water from their downspout. Rain gardens often look this sparse the first year. Locally native plants cost more money than commercial grass seed. A 2007 photo would look much more full.
The water table in this neighbor hood is quite high in Springtime. The difference in time delay between sump pump cycles when one pumps water to the East verses West side of these houses indicates that groundwater flows eastward toward the Mississippi River in the Seward Neighborhood of Minneapolis, MN (USA). I took this picture myself with the neighbor's permission, with my own camera.
