Description
English: In about 1880 15 cm caliber Krupp guns generally had a 14.91 cm caliber. This one had a caliber of 6 British inches, 15.24 cm. Military authors suspected that Krupp wanted to enable a clearer comparison to a new Briitsh 6 inch gun.
Nederlands: Rond 1880 hadden Krupp kanonnen van 15 cm in werkelijkheid een kaliber van 14,91 cm. Dit kanon had een kaliber van 6 Britise inches ofwel 15,24 cm. Militaire schrijvers vermoedden dat Krupp een zo duidelijk mogelijke vergelijking tussen dit kanon en een nieuwe Brits kanon wilde maken.
