English: British Museum website's description: "Albanian Palikars in pursuit of an enemy; three figures, with others behind them climb rocky path, moving to l, carrying rivers over their shoulders and wearing sheep skin jackets and pleated frocks, mountainous landscape beyond Watercolour over graphite" British Museum curator's comment: "This drawing was made during Cockerell's travels in the eastern Mediterranean in 1813-14. It was engraved by F. C. Lewis as a plate in Rev Thomas Smart Hughes, 'Travels in Sicily, Greece and Albania' 1820."
