Summary

Description
English: ROMANIA cotropita de Evreĭ și Strainĭ ("ROMANIA overrun by the Jews and the Foreigners"), antisemitic and protectionist lithograph in a Romanian almanac (Almanahul de Învățătură). Reference to the supposedly tolerant immigration law, accused on having encouraged the infiltration of Russian and Austro-Hungarian Jews, and of various peoples from the Balkans.
Romania as a giant head with feminine features, swarmed by "hordes" of Jews ("Bukovina Horde", "Bessarabia Horde", "Galicia Horde"). At the tip of her head, a Jewish crowd welcomed in by a Moses-like figure, holding up the Tables of the Law. The foreigners are shown holding up flags symbolizing their goals: COMERCIŬ and INDUSTRIA ("COMMERCE" and "INDUSTRY").
