Description

Ball-and-stick model showing packing in (roughly) 2×2×2 unit cells of the α polymorph of iridium(III) chloride, α-IrCl3, viewed down the the crystallographic b axis. The crystal structure was reported in Naturwissenschaften (1965) 52, 205-206, ICSD entry 23171, CSD entry 1599314.
