Summary
DescriptionAmbrussum Oppidum Ramparts 0298.JPG | Ambrussum is a Roman archaeological site in Villetelle, near Lunel, Hérault, the Via Domitia which led over the Pont Ambroix, ran at the foot of the settlement. There were ramparts around the Oppidum and later the Romans laid a paved road from the south gate to the east gate. There are visible traces of Roman cart tracks. Part of the ramanrts have disappeared, but other have been re-constructed. |
