Description
English: "In research, however, its authenticity has long been strongly doubted due to stylistic criteria. The attribution to Goya is no longer tenable. According to oral communication from Manuela Mena, Jefe del Área de Conservación de Pintura del Siglo XVIII y Goya, Museo del Prado, Madrid, dated 3.11.2016, most likely Francisco Domingo Marqués (1842-1920) painted the picture in Paris (there from 1875), and it has probably been circulated under the name "Goya" from the beginning. Deutsch: "(..)
