Description
Italiano: Cinque Giornate di Milano: la quinta giornata è occupata principalmente dall'assedio a Porta Tosa, stretta fra i cittadini all'interno e dai campagnoli all'esterno. Radetzki vuole lasciare Milano dalla non lontana Porta Romana ma deve lasciare un presidio alla più debole Porta Tosa per coprirsi la ritirata. L'esito dello scontro è altalenante infatti, se da una parte Manara ne brucia il portale conquistandola brevemente, dall'altra gli Austriaci riescono a recuperarla e a tenerla fino alla fine dell'evacuazione notturna (aiutata tra l'altro dai cannoneggiamenti provenienti dal Castello Sforzesco). L'indomani non ci sono più imperiali a Milano e le fortificazioni sono in mano alla popolazione. (Estratto da:[1]
