English: The schematic of a beta attenuation monitor (BAM). The detector allows to assess cumulative mass concentration of suspended particulate matter (PM) in the ambient air. Notation: 1 – air inlet; 2 – cycling ribbon; 3 and 4 – beta radiation sources; D1 and D2 – beta radiation detectors; 5 – air pump; 6 – air exhaust. Latviešu: Beta starojuma vājināšanās detektora (BAM) shēma. Šis detektors ļauj noteikt kopējo gaisā suspendēto daļiņu masas koncentrāciju. Apzīmējumi: 1 – gaisa ieplūde; 2 – bezgalīga lente; 3 and 4 – beta starojuma avoti; D1 un D2 – beta starojuma detektori; 5 – gaisa sūknis; 6 – gaisa izplūde. Русский: Схема детектора на основе затухания бета-излучения. С помощью этого устройства можно оценить суммарное содержание (по массе) взвешенных в воздухе частиц на единицу объёма. Обозначения: 1 – впуск воздуха; 2 – бесконечная лента; 3 и 4 – источники бета-излучения; D1 и D2 – счётчики бета-излучения; 5 – насос; 6 – выпуск воздуха. |
