Summary

Description Bishop Monkton Ings, near Bishop Monkton village, North Yorkshire, England. This is a Site of Special Scientific Interest, containing a small area of deciduous woodland carr, most of the site's area being bog and fen. The whole site is waterlogged and there is no public access. It can be seen from a public footpath which remains muddy for most of the year. Showing naturally oily bog water in the marsh area.
