Description
English: Aerial view (looking westwards) of the parkland of the former Buckenham Tofts House, Norfolk, 7 miles north of Thetford, since 1942 situated within the Stanford Training Area, a 30,000 acre military training ground closed to the public. The mansion house re-built in 1803 and demolished in 1946, stood to the immediate left (south) of the landscaped serpentine lake formed by damming the River Wissey. Army training buildings are visible, including a mock-up of an Afghan village.
