English: Streamlined Mercedes W25K in the banked AVUS north turn which had been added by early 1937. There had been no major Avus race in 1936. Following tests in April 1937 conducted by Auto Union and Mercedes race teams, the only race of the Silver Arrow era on the banked turn was held on 30 May 1937. Following Rosemeyers death in early 1938, no races were held in 1938 or 1939 |
