Maribel Vinson [*], die beste amerikanische Eiskunstläuferin gewann in New York zum vierten Mal hintereinander die amerikanische Kunstlaufmeisterschaft für Damen. Sie ist in Lake Placid die schärfste Gegnerin der Weltmeisterin Sonja Henie.
